Thought I would share this with everyone, I built this today for $16.00 so I could remove and install the hood on my 72 scamp. Seen one online for around $200.00, thought I would build this one from 2 2x4x8 yp lumber. Mounted it on top of my engine hoist, had to do a little welding but not much...

Your are welcome. I rigged up a 12 volt winch with double line to lift my engine. I understand about the lifting. I am too old for that. Thanks for the reply.

Yes sir.Total length is 55". From front of engine to cut out at transmission is 21". Opening for engine to set in is 8 3/4" inside measurement. Sides are 2x12,base is 2x10, cut out is 4 1/4" deep. gusset blocks are 5 3/4" on 45 degree angle, 4 casters which support 200# each. Hope this helps.

Built my engine cradle today out of wood, works really well. Not fancy though.

New project just picked up today.

Picked up 71 Dodge Dart today, maybe new project after Scamp, might sell though, don't know yet.

Painted engine bay today and underside of hood and trunk lid. Plum Crazy is color. Will finish up prepping body next week, then engine build.

First time here. Working on 72 Plymouth Scamp, have 340 engine building for it. Just wanted to introduce myself. Located in Orange Texas.
