    Interesting Summit Ignition Box

Damn, they are not even trying to hide the TO-220 package transistor anymore. They used to put a fake TO-3 transistor on it but inside was a TO-220. These will not hold up like the old ones did.

    New Edelbrock intake quality issues

Yes, their trim work is done very sloppy these days. The last couple new intakes I got from edelbrock were like that. As far as the holes drilled off center...those are drilled with a jig and are probably all done at one time. They wont be dead center of the boss.

    340 X Head Value

I would not be concerned with that flash rust at all. A little phosphoric acid (ospho) will clean those right up. Im going to put a higher value on them than you guys. A set of X cores will be $300-$400 on average. With the price of machine work these days I would guess around $600 for the...

    Newb Oil Filter Question

I would like to know what you guys are doing wrong with these 90° filters that makes them leak. I have never had one leak and I have always run them on all my engines. I always run the PH8A size instead of the short PH43 but im considering trying the small filter on my swinger. I have to pull...

    Rear window defroster

With the heated grid there is a timer module that ties into it. Mounts under the dash somewhere. I was able to find a NOS one for my car and there seemed to be a few of them out there still.

    Exhaust Stud Leak at #8

I dont use silicon anymore. Try FIPG instead, its so much better. https://www.amazon.com/AISIN-AB1207B1-Black-Gasket-Sealant/dp/B01MUFWSBH/?tag=fabo03-20 For your issue I would probably use indian head gasket shellac. Its great for sealing threads.

Have you ever seen any Dart, Valiant, Demon or Duster with a rear window defroster?

My 73 dart sport export car has the electric grid type in the window. Thats kinda rare since you usually only see them on cars with fold down rear seat. I have seen plenty of the blower type ones over the years. I think I have a couple of those setups out in the shed. The rare one is the...

    Plastic splash guards?

The metal ones were used through 72 and in 73 they changed to plastic. I believe the duster ones will fit the barracuda but not 100% sure on that. Some of the metal ones are repopped but the plastic ones are not, unfortunately.

expert help needed (my first post)

Its nearly impossible to flip a car and come ahead unless many shortcuts are made. This is why I would never consider buying one of those cars from the "classic car dealers". They are usually polished pigs. If you want to make money flipping cars I will tell you how to do it. Buy cars that have...

What's the best way to find a dead cylinder?

We used to pull a plug wire until we found the culprit. You can use a temp gun also but be aware that its normal to have some swing between cylinders. A dead cylinder should show a big difference.

    AMD Duster Fenders?

You can expect to have to do some work to get your gaps. No such thing as a bolt on and go replacement panel.

    Your first mopar...?

My first car was a 72 dart 4 door. I paid $250 for it in 1991 and it was like it rolled off the showroom floor. Sadly I abused it and it no longer exists. Only these three pictures.

    340 vs 360 confirmation

Yes, this is correct. One side is a 2 1/4 flat flange and the other is smaller with a ball socket type flange. Im pretty sure this was the case on the 71's as well. If you want the big 2 1/4" opening on both sides you need to shell out ridiculous money and get some 68-70 340 manifolds. For a...

What parts can a 1973 Swinger use from other Swingers?

Sorry, I missed where you said rear. Those are called inner and outer wheelhouse. AMD has them in stock. Most of the time the inners are fine but its very common for the outer to need replacing. https://www.autometaldirect.com/body-components-inner-wheelhouse-c-23_179.html
