Did he do head studs? I have a few friends with twins only one of them have studs and o-rings the rest just have studs and they see anywhere from 55-75lbs. Both blocks have the same number of head bolts.... some just get lucky with HG. I did, I was over spooling my HX-35 and could hit 47lbs...

Did a little more work this week.... since I've been laid off and all. As it looks there really isn't any work for about a year or so... Starting cutting for minitubs.

I like the manual cause its a blast to drive, but for getting down to business I prefer the auto.

When I started my engine build about 8yr ago there didn't seem to be too much stroker stuff out there for a somewhat budget build. So I went with a stock stroke 340 strong enough for some juice. If I were to start again today I would do a stroker and juice, cause if your buying new stuff...

I want to say the A-500 would bolt up. You could try to find an older dodge truck with a 360 and pull the od trans off that. I know my 47RE trans in my 01 dodge diesel has some parts that is still based off the 727. I know the trans pan is the same.

The undercoat on mine that was soaked in oil from trany/motor leaks made the UC very fluffy and just scrapped right off.... The other 40yr old crap that could take a beating with a hammer and still stay put.... Came right off with some good paint stripper from HD or Lowes. I got the paste stuff...
