This Bad Sport is a REAL bad egg!~!

I bought a roll from him maybe couple years ago now, good stuff, if it is the same stuff it is 3:1 shrink as opposed to most which is 2:1, only part that would make It any better is if it was sealant / adhesive lined.

Whats it worth 318 fresh bottom end on Craigslist

I take all engines built by someone else as suspect, I don't have great success with stuff built by someone else. incorrectly installed bearings, incorrect ring gaps, just saying, if you buy it, you might want to tear it down and recheck stuff, but by oil pan and head studs looks like a quality...

    Confirm my luck TA heads?

Agreed unless restoring or porting and using the extra meat just a set pf 2.02, they were on a mild 318 build guy didn't even know they were 2.02, thought that was the bonus, then bummed when rockers didn't fit then I started thinking why, I've had stamped, cast, aluminum rockers, X and W2's...

    Confirm my luck TA heads?

Ok I bought bunch of engine / car parts from a guy doing swap, it was 318 that had a bad build, resulted in flat cam cracked / burned pistons. I need miscellaneous parts for a build I was doing including the adjustable rocker arms. Well thought I had lucked out when I found out heads were 2.02...

    8 3/4 mini spool

And can be had for less than a $190 mini spool, well ok you do have to buy bearings and install (set backlash) on it.

Post the favorite small block combo you have had, and why

A Hoover motor lol, an early 360 block bored 0.100 over with 340 pistons in it (378 cubes), all infernally balanced with Mallory, had 2.02 X heads on it, and a mild Icky cam 0.474 lift. Loved it because of uniqueness, reved quick, nice torque and horsepower. Then sold it lol.

    340 pistons

I don't know those pistons exactly but looking at the design and size of the dome, a no go for a street motor, I find the minute any piston starts having a dome you start being in 12+ on compression (yes exceptions when piston is left in the hole or big chamber heads) if I had to make an...

    Interesting discovery inside 318

Uncle & cousin used to buy military surplus trucks and said mismatched was the rule there tear an engine down and find different bores and bearing sizes in it, only fix the minimum it needed.

    Welders

I have a Miller 252, I weld from sheet metal to 3/8, I buy bigger than needed usually to make sure duty cycle is there. I prefer brand names usually means quality and part availability even consumables.

Would you use this new SB water outlet?

IMO if you have a nice new smooth hose and and a new smooth fitting just clean them both well (they will "stick" to each other) and use a nice new clamp that provides close to 100% radial clamping force and you should be fine, I have joined hoses to make a custom shape and not had issues.

[WANTED] 360 X-tra capacity oil pan

I did look at the Kevko looks like a nice piece and very reasonable priced (close to what a used one is going to cost) the only thing I was curious was is why didn't they go and add more oil, they added about a quart (advertised as a 5 quart pan) and the others are 7 or 8 quart? That much better...
