My friend just pulled 2 318 motors out of a boat ...does anyone want them..he is going to junk them for next to nothing$.. not sure what they are worth if anything..but maybe someone could use them ??

I can do most stuff on car but can't machine it.. would love to have time and space to do it myself..but I know if I bring it up here I can probably have it built out of new York for the price of just the machine work I need up here..lol

My original 340 has hv pump but not sure in this one ..it just started to squeal one house away..but on last drive oil light was flickering..so maybe it just has a blockage in pick up and I could possibly emery the inside if not scared up ..

Anyone know who is the go to guy in Florida to rebuild my 340 beefy??

Is that from performance aftermarket companies?

Wondering what the good oil pump to use since it started to squeal and oil light was flickering and gotta drop oil pan anyway.motor I believe is stock with headers and purp cam...will want to reuse when I rebuild original motor with good street hp

Ok got it as good as it will get with the proform distributor which don't offer any springs to make curve quicker....B's...I'm thinking of taking it apart and using my weights and springs/ shaft and just using the proform housing to give performance back the way it was...I found out my old...

In the back of carb..just looked at manual and it says to hook up front rt port..I'll switch it and see.. tomorrow I'm going to try it with the vacuum advance and see what happens..carb is a thermoquad fresh rebuild..

Ok at 36 total and 17 at initial and still has bad bog low end ...maybe you all left me

Ok got it way close..wide open seems ok but bottom end can't seem to get right.. getting awesome throttle response In Drive way ..tiny hesitation on quick hit low end...I'm still at almost 37 full and 17 initial..I having areal hard time finding the sweet spot and seems to be worse with vacuum...

But I chk the spark off coil before I started it ..wow what a difference!!!

Ok rewired front harness . Complete ignition and charging...new module ,ballist ,coil, distributor,wires..fired right up then started to rain didn't have time to put a timing light on it but on installation distributor I rotated engine counter clockwise to 7' adv.then set distributor to number...

I got a proform kit with harness and module..with msd blaster 2 vibration control..and MSD 8m wires ..for 159 not so bad.....

Yellow from relay also goes to power key on ignition switch... wireing seems to be corecor to I'm replacing all new wires and then new system to be installed as per instructions.. thanks alot for your help guys!!
