    Starter not engaging

I had it so "engine side" was facing the engine. I took it all back apart and put original back on but ground the block a tiny bit where it was rubbing. Noise is fixed. On the B and M one you could see about a 1/16 inch in where the starter was hitting it.

B&M Flexplates 10230 This is the flexplate I used. Two sites said it would work with a 904 transmission and the holes to the inside do line up. It looks like the starter does not have enough room to go past to get to the gear on the torque converter..

Yeah everything should be good. Started fine with old flexplate. "Engine side" is definitely engine side for install so not flipped

Okay so back to the problem child... 71 SSP new 72 340 with original 904. Making a vibration noise that I was 95% sure was the flex plate rubbing that I posted about earlier. Just spent 7 hours changing the stock flexplate (which was rubbing) to a new B and M flexplate. Got her all back together...

What head bolt kit to use?

1971 340 block and using 78 360 heads. I see two kits from ARP for small blocks and some have two size bolts and some have three. How do I tell which kind I need? Probably dumb question but it's my first build.

Rumblefish... What would you think then for heads? Indys look to be around 1300 with spring kit. The Aeroheads I was looking at are 499 stock then upgrades on that but I think they use Chinese valves and all that. Trying not to go aluminum and most people want crazy money for X and J heads that...

    71 340 head choice (budget)

Yeah I went through the 360vs340 debate before I found this block for pretty cheap so I'll stick with it for better or worse.

Background info first: I have a 71 Plymouth SSP. Short block motor should be done next week. 72 block 340.060 over with KB pistons. Looking for advice on cylinder head choice. Looking to only spend 1k or less. I know you get what you pay for. I want to stay iron head as well. Plans are to use...
