Had to take some time off from the car after I pulled the motor last year. We had a little boy born on Mother’s Day 2021. Picked up recently where I left off. Both inner fenders replaced from a donor car as well as the rad support. Cleaned and painted the firewall. Lots of work but no more rust.

I realize it’ll put the motor pretty close to the stock location of a v8 k member. So just treat it like it’s a v8 k member after the mounts are installed?

Got my firewall striped and epoxied. Got some pieces from AMD and rebuilt the cowl to inner fender pieces. Welded in the other piece that holds the fender on at the top as mine was rotted out. Sanded down the area behind the splash shield and epoxied it. Progress is slow but it’s gettin there.

Well I appreciate that. Yeah I would check the other side just to be sure. I'm able to salvage it for now for fitment purposes and for practice but whoever had it did a number on it. Ill more than likely bite the bullet and order a new one down the road.

Oh wow! Was it in the back of the fender too? I took a scuff wheel on my die grinder til about midwheel lip before i actually hit metal, then found more just after it and down in the dogleg too. Not saying 1/2 inch thick back there but someone did alot of work to cover up there hammer skills. ha

Car was in terrible shape with 1/2" thick bondo all in the quarters and passenger door. Add passenger fender to that list as well. lol

What did you spray into the door? Was it a rust converter or just paint? Patch looks great!
