My only other question is: With a factory floor shift car, Can you take the key out just by pushing the lever at the switch even if the car isn't in park on the floor?

Actually Junkyardhero, Thanks for that link. I was able to get a 71 Plymouth Manual, and a 73 Dodge one that shows me what I need I believe.

Thank you, I'm seeing how it works now. Was able to get the 71 Plymouth Manual, and the 73 dodge manual from the My Mopars site and I see the columns are basically the same after 70....It just has a very brief description of how the floor shift columns differ from the columns shift cars.

Still working on the inside, Got New seat covers from Year one, and got them put on, Finished shifter and console. Got everything trial fitted. Been driving the car some. Went to a fundraiser Cruise for a fallen Greesnboro police officer's family..Sgt. Dale Dix.... ( we are a Police family ). 18...

Moved to the Inside now.... Adding a floor shift, and Console..Got brackets from a donor car welded in and trial fitted..... refinishing dash parts, Seats are at upholsterers getting Fresh Year One covers, Carpet is layed out to flatten...

More progress on the Dart today !! New Holley 750 carb, more emblems and factory decals, got the trim Rings on, Hood Moulding on , Laid The trunk mat out to flatten out…. Then took her out for a spin !! She runs great !!

Started Putting her all back together !!! Car has newer Bumpers, Newer Grill,All New emblems, All new Windshield, Door, & Trunk Rubbers. Has new window Fuzzies & rubbers, and a regulator kit was installed.

Brought her home last night... Not great pics because its almost dark. now to start reassembly..... I got a ton of new stuff incl all emblems, Grill, carpet, Floor mats, New headliner, Dash Pad, and Package tray already installed..... Front seats to get New Covers, Tuff Wheel, New Wood Trim...

No didnt leave a metal scar.....

Previous owner's sons girlfriend..... I think he just kept the insurance money, and sold me the car As-is...... I pretty much started over....stripped her to the Bare metal, Epoxy Primer, Worked, sanded, Blocked, blocked, Black paint Guide coats, and blocked more ...side lines are STRAIGHT !!!!

Rumor has it that something is FINALLY after 2 years and 4 months is coming back to me to finish reassembly !! Woo Hoo !!!

I actually coated the crap out of the inside of both rear quarters with rust preventative, while we were doing the small patch panels....Hopefully, she always lives in a temp/humidity controlled garage going forward !!! Not out under a tree like these cars did for a lot of their lives ...LOL

Got all the places welded up. stripped both sides all along the bottom making sure we got everything. Also found a little bit of thin metal starting to pepper in the Passenger floorboard, so we put in a floor pan over there. we fixed the leak also....I prepped the frame rail inside with rust...
