    Since this is my first build Im not insisting on anything lol. That being said this is how I received this 360 (pics). From your pics it appears my water pump extends out farther thus I'm guessing the outside pulley use. I do appreciate your suggestions too.

    I would but the /6 alternator is a single belt pulley and the 360 is dual with the belt on the outside. So the /6 alternator would put the belt out of alignment. Thanks though.

    The original /6 harness has two FLD ( blue and green) connectors going to the alternator. The alternator that came with the 360 has only one FLD connector on it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Well I think I found my fubar, thanks to a sticky note on axle lengths fo Abodies vs B bodies I see the error of my ways. Sure the spring perches we're only off set 1/2" but the overall length of the 8.75 threw things off more than I accounted for. Mayhem shall be recalculating. Post outcome...

    Yes I pulled the original 7.25 bbp rear end and replaced it with the 8.75 which was one in wider, thus I installed the offset hangars 1/2 outward on each side. Using a 1999-2001 Ford mustang rim 15x7 and a p195/60r15 I only have an 1and1/2 to the spring and 3/4" space from sidewall to edge of...

    So I swapped the old rear end for an 8.75, in doing so I off set the rear hangars a half inch on each side. Now I'm trying to figure out the best wheel/tire combo/back spacing and so on. This 73 Scamp will be primarily used for the strip. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    I have the /6 which I drove home, ran good when I pulled it. Tranny shifted fine, and swapped out the 7 1/4 rear end. I swapped out the full steering column, and stock wheel which is in great shape

    Vancouver area about 20 minutes from the I-205 bridge to Portland OR. I looked at your ride and can only hope I get there. Little achieveable goals at a time. I do have some of the original parts from my Scamp if I have something you might be able to use.

    The 52 1/2 is perfect, and the 25 spline is spot on, if it will fit in a 727 tranny we're cooking. I'll measure mine overall as well. I currently have a 54" c/c.
