Once I have the 67up crossmember, I'll post side by side comparisson pics. Basically, the 65 crossmember does not hang as low, which would give the larger 727 more room. It was when I noticed my 65 crossmember is flanged front and rear versus rolled front/flange rear of the 67up that I looked at...

Trimmed the pinch weld and hammered where needed. Just discovered this 65 dart has shallower crossmember than 67up.

Even with the rubber out, trans tail still hits

socal, what did you use for the rubber mount in the crossmember? looks like you don't have one...

There is a chunk of rubber bolted in the trans tunnel. Directly above crossmember mount. I'll attach a pic tomorrow. So in the previous pic with the trans and crossmember not fitting, the tail is up against the rubber snub. Need the rubber mount in the crossmember to be 1" shorter...

Is there a shorter mount available when putting a 727 in? Hitting rubber snub at top of tunnel....

I've been at odds with NC DMV over my 65 Dart GT Convertible because they could not find the VIN stamp on the radiator core support or in the trunk's drip rail on the driver's side. Now I will be able to keep the car's original VIN and tags! Thanks for posting this 65dartcharger!
