In my 73 Duster 470 auto 391s, 68 Roadrunner went from a 323 SG to a 276 to keep up with normal traffic @ 90 mph. My 67 Chevelle wagon 373s with a TKO for the same reason. 73 VW Thing slug bug 50 hp barn burner= never mind.

Not positive but some kind of timer relay and a key in buzzer. Both are still in my 73 Duster and disconnected, couple more on the rt side as well. Had the same when I put PS on my R/R. Seems like the new Pittman arm splines are a bit tight. I hit the splines on both with a small fine file and some crocus cloth. Off and on about 12 times and got it to seat with the washer and added some locktite for insurance.

My 2cents, Being a retired Tech mostly GM for 45 years I have a Tech2. I have used all kinds and the Snapon Modis is the one I like. Bidirectional testing and a scope is all I need. There is a new one to compete with the Autell for under a G-note. Only issue it is made in China.

Took the 742 W/323s SG out of my 68 R/R for a 741 W/2.7s open Moon shot gears. The duster has a 742 W/391s SG. A 489 and the R/R gears are tucked away. Nothing wrong with a 741 or decent used gears.

Yeah Wild Horse is done, Tucson is about all that's left in S. Arizona. Ours was sporadic with covid and the timing system got hit by lighting, took it out. Going to cruise by it and see if the reader boards are up.
