If i could get 465 ponnies out of a x headed sb. Then i would say you should easly do it with a bb head. On a side note the x head did have a stroker kit in it. Keep on rocking those cast iron heads.

This was about 5 dyno pulls, never worked on the carb. Got the wrong spacer on it. 14:1 comp 410 cui W5 heads with a bunch of plastic Cam motion camshaft from ebay 639 lift int 648 exh Well about all of the engine was from ebay. Hard to find parts here in Sweden. NA engine with a 850 dp on it.

Hello, i going the "easy way" with my engine build. R block, mech flat tappet and i was woundering how much pressure you would safely run on a mech flat tappet lifters. Seems like i'm going to get 160lbs installed spring pressure. Would i need the tool steellifters? Thx from Sweden

I thought my w5s where about low on the flow. 1,6 exh and 2,08 intake valves newly done.

The flowing was done with a bore of 4,10 and with 2" exhaustpipe. Well we will see what kind of cam it gets. Roller or flat.

How much gain do one expect from unshrouding the valves gains? I did buy the pistons some years earlier than the block. Well i think if you have matrial why waste it? Save it for a rebuild was my mantra. I do hear you about going as fast as you can 9 sec runs would be great.

Why go more overbore than you have to? I did find nice pistons and rings for my R block. Going 4.04 bore. Just trying to learn :-)

Does the w7 share intake manifolds with w5? How about the headers?

Is the problems with the w5 still there with the blue plugs casting or is it better?

Do you drive it with a solid flat tappet?

When i bought them they was empty, so just bought some valves that will be shipped to the guy redoing the plastic. I hope he can flow test them as soon as he is finishd...

This is a new build with a new R block, i will bee doing bracket racing only so its a drag car. I belive that the comp will get to about 13.5 The heads are not done yet, bought them of ebay and now they are being redone the plastic. I am considering to have the lifte bores sleeved or not to do...
