Rusty, Many thanks. I live in the Augusta area and my In-laws live in Macon. I know the area pretty well. Going to start from the top of the list. It has been many years since I sent a motor for work, but can recall a lot more shops growing up in Boston. Lots of specialty guys that...

    1973 Dart Suspension rebuild

Gentlemen, Got me spinning. I need to do some more homework, especially on thinking through the rear suspension and what wheels will fit and still give me better handling and keep looking like a hot rod. Good with keeping it basic with a good set of leaf springs and shocks. The wheels and...

    1973 Dart Suspension rebuild

Gentlemen, thanks for for the feedback. I will be reaching back as I move forward on the rebuild. I have some time in April to finally get wrenching on Dart. It should be an adventure of discovery. By the look of it the front end has either original parts or at least they been on the vehicle...

    1973 Dart Suspension rebuild

Greetings, first I liked to thank all folks that have shared their thoughts and advice in regards to my questions on rebuilding/upgrading the suspension on my 73' Dart Swinger on other threads. I am reaching out as I believe I am asking my questions in fragments. Before I ran off and try and...

    Front end advice

I am with you, when I first got the car, I was not thrilled. But, they grown on me. If I keep em' on they will need baffles as runs too loud and attracts negative attention. The other challenge is the pipes heat up and getting in and out can be high adventure as well as other folks checking it...

    Front end advice

Hey man thanks - I like the raised back and wider tires, but the way the leaf springs sit in the shackles with the air shocks limits handling. Trying to find a happy medium with handling and keeping the hot rod look. So welcome any suggestions for front and back suspension modes. Regards, Ed

James, Great - I have Bilstein's on my Jeep TJ and really like them. What model/part # do you suggest? I am trying to keep my efforts to one section of the car at a time - but will also do the back suspension and trying not get to far ahead of myself. I do need to do something better than the...

James, James, Here is what I am thinking for the front end rebuild - Polygraphite Performance Super Front End Kit, 1.03" torsion bars, and Mopar Lower Control Arm Rebuilding Kit. Do you have any other components you might suggest for this project? Thanks, Ed

    Front end advice

Thanks, I think I go with the kit you all sell for ease of install and time saving. In regards to the T-Bars diameters, what is the advantage of the thinner versus the thicker diameters (weight or strength)?

    Front end advice

LC81, Awesome, thanks for your insights and pictures. I do wish I had a lift to pull the front apart. I think I will mostly likely go with a front end poly kit and upgrade to PST T-Bars as well as better shocks. What did you decide on the LCA pivot shaft, you using the original? Do LCA plates...
