    Mystery smoke from gauge cluster

There’s no harm in adding a ground to the cluster, as you did. I did on mine, also. I also had a smoke issue occur once. Turned out I had a wire to my Stewart Warner temp gauge mounted to the bottom of the dash not fully insulated. It kissed the steel dash and caused some smoke.

What did you do with the wires going INTO and OUT OF the ammeter? Lots of current traveling thru those babies!

'65 Barracuda Interior moldings under rear window

I’m fairly certain mine is body color. You can see the original body color under the flap. I also attached a pic of the original outside body color I found under the left turn signal indicator on the fender for comparison…

'65 Barracuda Interior moldings under rear window

Yes sir. Used to be black but prior owner painted over them. To be factual, Bob, mine is a ‘66. Before this, I had a ‘64 and I remember them being black. (For this photo, I propped the right flap open just for reference.)

Who Watched the Cup Race Yesterday?

I didn't watch the Cup race, but I did watch the last half of the Xfiniti race. This Kiwi from New Zealand, SVG, finished third in the race. It's only his fourth race on a NASCAR oval. He finished 12th last week at Daytona. He won the NASCAR Cup race with the big boys in his first ever...

Did you change your Master Cylinder pushrod changing fron single to dual??

My '66 already had an adjustable rod from the factory. During the conversion, I fine tuned the length, did not require a replacement. (FWIW, my car came with power brakes. I kept it power.)

Paint on rear window chrome pieces, '65 Barracuda

That's exactly what I did to my rocker moldings. They're also finned. Sprayed, then wiped the paint off the tops of the fins about halfway through the cure process.

‘72 Dart - Road Race Resto

Chandler, I see in your first, then second post that you went from manual to power brakes. Now you've moved back to manual (post 34). Curious what's your reasoning and what do you have for the rest of your brake system?

Tone, just saw this thread for the first time, will be following this. I have been through a lot of what you're doing now, have probably forgotten most of it. Your last photo of the rear of the car with the back glass out reminded me of the two tiny cracks in the quarter panel metal at the...

George Foreman’s Dart Swinger Auctioning on Hagerty Not mine

Description mentions a golf cart fire near the right side. Heated and warped the front plastic, blistered the paint on the right fender and door. Still a clean sixer with some provenance. Who knows, you might be able to meet the big guy himself when after you win the auction!

    Ineffective Foam Cleaner

When I was a kid, my Dad would show me how to clean the fork bearings on a bicycle (circa 1960's). He poured gasoline into a little jar, then gave me an old toothbrush to clean them with. Smelled awfully good back then. Could explain my brain damage now, though ...
