I have no clue how you did that. I don’t think I’d attempt that. I built a little transmission adapter for my jack. Worked pretty well, actually.

Thanks. I did do that—I just checked to see how much lean I could get, distributor isn’t that close to hitting the firewall. Probably need to loosen more.

Haven’t we all? I have new floorpans waiting to go in. I’ll probably make the new bracket when I install those pans in the next 1-5 years.

Just want to sort of close this loop—1/4” clevis pin fits great. I may fabricate a new floor mount, but that’s for another day.

215 60 15 all around… I have the 73+ disc brake swap in the front and 8 1/4 in the back. I don’t love where the front wheels sit in the wheel well, but they were free. No complaints from me.

Transmission has been rebuilt for a while now. Just psyching myself up to do the swap. Decided to build a little transmission jack adapter thing for my jack. Maybe a distraction? Either way. Should help the process.

On a positive/fun note, I had a friend fabricate a speedometer plug for the 65 transmission. I couldn’t find a plug anywhere on the interweb. Came out pretty clean.

Quick update. Working on rebuilding a spare transmission to replace the one currently in the car. Having fun. Taking it slow. Will probably have the spare transmission back together this week. I’m thinking I’ll wait to put the new one in for when I do some front end work. May be a while, but...
