[FOR SALE] NOS A-body dash cluster with Kilometer speedo. $500 obo

This is an NOS dash cluster for an A-body. I bought it about 14 years ago, been in a box in my garage since then. Speedometer in KPH. Has "Check EGR" and "Fasten Seat Belts" warnings. It's not perfect - some of the plastic chrome is blemished, a small chip in the "wood", some moldy stuff on...

    SPI Epoxy Primer

Got the undercarriage and engine compartment primed - I like it a lot. First time I've ever picked up a spray gun, and it seems pretty forgiving. I'm happy with it. Was using a cheap Devilbiss "starting line" gun, but have purchased a Sharpe Razor to finish priming the rest of it.

    Homemade Paint Booth

Here's some pics of my booth. Use 3/4 electric conduit, and fittings you can buy online to build the frame. I used binder clips to hold the plastic on in most places, duct tape and glue as well. I'm using a SAS pure air hood to spray with - can't even smell any fumes while you're working...

    sandblast the whole car???

I blasted my Duster body using Jetmag media. No warpage, and this is the first time I've ever done something like this. Took more time to blow all the media out of the body than it did to blast it. But the results are very nice. Just keep moving, don't get too close with the gun, and use...

    SPI Epoxy Primer

I'm spraying this onto the Duster right now. First time priming/painting anything. Once I'm done with the primer I'll let you know how it turns out. A few more days and I should be done with priming it.

    sandblasting sand

We used "Jetmag" for my Duster. About $7 for 50 lbs, didn't know how much we needed for 2 cars (Duster and 56 Ford) so we bought an entire pallet of 30 bags. For both cars, used about 7 bags. Just sweep it up, strain it thru a window screen, reload, and it works just like new. So, still...

Before and after, which looks better?

Thanks for the replies. I'm a "dog dish" guy, so all my cars get the same treatment. Both 76 Darts here:

Before and after, which looks better?

1st pic from 2001, 9k miles 2nd pic from today 07/30/09, 13k miles. I hate whitewalls, full wheel covers and bumper guards. What do you guys think? Also turned down the t-bars a little so it sits more "flat".

    I purchased it - 1976 Dart

It's finally on the road - spent a while getting some parts. Had a leaking exhaust manifold, and if you've never had to repair a slant 6 manifold let me tell you - it's a life changing experience :) Runs great, will be my daily driver now. Just for kicks found an original 1976 Bicentennial...

    door jamb switches???????

Can anyone explain why there needs to be more than 1 prong on these switches? My 76 Dart has 2 prongs on the driver's side, only 1 on the pass. side. Is the extra wire on the driver's side for other options maybe (buzzer, headlight delay, etc)? It just seems to serve no purpose.

    Torque Boxes?

Not sure what gauge they are. Had to rework (ie, HAMMER TIME) them a bit for fitting. They are $250 for all 4 from autorust.com. The connectors are 2x3, I pretty much followed the Big Block Dart tech page for making them - http://www.bigblockdart.com/techpages/connectors.shtml
