Unfortunately I have replaced the sender already

All the other gauges work it’s just that one and it stays pegged even when running. I just went out there and unplugged it from the sender and it went down to 0 this is the factory gauge

Ok I just want to make sure and the voltage regulator plug has slight damage to it so I didn’t know if that would affect it.

Ok so I have gone and check my wire harness and found a couple things but i have questions too. I have not check the voltage because I don’t have a multimeter to do the reading. Would the voltage regulator have anything to do with the start up ?

It is a 74 dart I just had to change the engine wire harness because the other on smoked it self the new one is from a 73 dart with a slant 6 car so I had to modify the harness to the v8 style. I am going to check the voltage tonight do you guys know what it should be reading ?

I have a stock distributor that has been recurved to I think 12 degrees base and I think 32 degrees at 3500

The intake has a gasket match and the plenum removed already so that’s good to know that it will still work later on down the line
