I have a veeeery slight seep on the HG. Id like to either retorque the headbolts or just replace them with studs. Dont want to remove the head, can i replace the studs one at a time and retorque initial then when they are all in do the second and third passes?

If you're running straight water like you said and not running cooling on 100° day you're definitely going to boil the water after you shut the car off . That's why you're steaming.

My original timing cover on my 64 is bent, I have a late model timing cover just like the one pictures above that came from a truck. I'd really like not to put my own marks in the damper. Anyone know what damper listed will work with later model covers ?

No, wasn't there. I'm not posting who as the issues would otherwise be solved if it were not 100% out of the persons control.

I did this on my car and the classic industries/inline tube ones worked well. They fit with minimal tweaking and look factory. You have to disconnect the exhaust to get them in if the engine /trans is in the car and you need to lift the car about 2 feet off the ground to insert the lines...

Prior to this engine being rebuilt i did swap the rear main and pan myself but, the crank was HEAVILY pitted on the crank sealing area. When i did it that time i put in a Hemi/RB viton rear main that was 2 piece. also leaked like a sieve . That's when i deiced to do a new crank and a rebuild
