I am having issues with this one right now...think I need to pull the Steering shaft to get it

The thick part is on top...have done a few of these over the years LOL I saw another member use these and thought I would give them a try...gotta say I like the idea...nice rubber and saved around $60 for something no one really sees LOL

Since my Twister is not a numbers car I drilled the 4" hole and used the 4" rubber light grommet's..for two it was $8

Yup just a 1" drop

So here is what I did..the base had already been cut so I cut the bottom right out of the air cleaner and tacked in a drop base....still a bit close but it works now

Turns out it is the gauge. I tightened the nuts on the back of the gauge and she moved to 1/4..then I taped the the gauge a couple times and the needle just dropped back down to empty. Thanks fore the input guys...AL

I will check the limiter, the sender is new and checked with an ohm meter and numbers are good moving the float arm. Thanks

I have had 30 cars and damn near everyone I buy needs a sender...so I have some experience with this LOL. All checks out. I just find it odd the gauge will only read full even though the sender works fine. Guess I will try the gauge tomorrow with a 1.5 volt battery and see if I can get it read...

Pulled the sender out of my tank today and wired it to my gauge to double check the sweep..it was not my sender {ohms are right where they should be} So when I fill the tank, gauge reads full after the float drops to around 3/4 the gauge goes right to empty. I have heard the gauges can be...

Here is what was done to the air cleaner So I was thinking if I could get a drop base, cut the base out of the original air cleaner and tack in the new lower on. I love the look of this air cleaner.

Mark looking closer I see some orange paint inside the bushing so it slide over, or a bolt went through it at some point..that may be a clue. AL

When I ordered mine I had it shipped to a ups store in Niagara Falls and just drove down and picked it up..cost me 10 bucks

If anyone needs an exhaust and have not used these guys before, they are excellent to deal with and the pipes fit like factory..I was very impressed. AL
