    Should I buy this 440?

I would think you’d need a cam and any 2 of: better intake, better head, higher comp pistons, or better exhaust manifolds for 65hp, even on a 440, unless they were playing a numbers game with the ratings to begin with

    Should I buy this 440?

    Don’t forget moly-filled rings!

    Should I buy this 440?

If you have space for it and a plan for it, I’d tell him you want it as long as you can spin it with valve covers off and pull the heads

    67 and 69 Barracuda back-up light

Hey Dana here’s some pics of the backup lights and valance panel Looks like the hole is 1 5/8”, screw holes are 2 1/8” C to C, and screw holes are 3/8-1/2” from the bottom of the hole. Maybe somebody replaced my valance panel, or maybe the car was built on a Friday because the left screw hole...

    67 and 69 Barracuda back-up light

Why I will not sell plastic bulb holders Yeah I can see why you wouldn’t use plastic You’d be getting out of your car in a parking lot, some guy walking by would say “Yo, your Barracuda’s on fire”… “Huh? Oh thanks man” “No dude, your Barracuda’s ON FIRE!”

    Barracuda Restomod

I see so few 67-69 Barracuda restomods it amazes me since it’s such a beautiful body style. Is it considered blasphemy because of this? The 2nd Gens seem to have so much to work with, like good looks, decent handling and plenty of power. Does anyone else think it would be cool to see more of...

    Who Is Using Mini Alternators?

I have to replace my old single-field alternator and I was looking at getting a more modern mini alternator after I read some posts here about guys using them. Who out there is using mini alternators, and what has been your experience with any issues, ease of installation and reliability?

    Header studs or bolts?

IIRC I used studs on the first and last hole and bolts in between on Doug’s headers - just seemed the easiest way

    Alternator Pulse

Yes the starter relay - I’m not good when it comes to electrical. The battery is fully charged, ammeter is hooked up but not working and the pulley on the squareback alt is smaller, so should be turning faster. I don’t have a multimeter, but I do still have the old roundback alt - took them...

Does a '69 air cleaner look wrong on a '70 Dart Swinger 340

Yes those 68-69’s are some of the best looking factory air cleaners ever made by any mfg I’d run them on any Mopar Edit: But not for $1000

    Alternator Pulse

I grounded the field tab closest to the pos output lug (batt) to the alternator by removing the plastic insulating washer and putting a metal washer in its place, and added a heavy wire from the alt batt lug to the big post on the battery relay. Interior lights are pulsing like a heartbeat Any...

    Performance Indicator

I replaced the old cast iron intake manifold with an Edelbrock Airgap and carb - I have a working performance indicator (vacuum gauge), but there’s no place to connect it to the intake. Can it be connected directly to the vacuum nipple on the Edelbrock carb?

    Alternator Pulse

Sooo, I replaced my old round back alternator that died with a squareback dual field I had (not sure of amps). I grounded one of the fields with a metal washer and ran a heavy wire to the large post on the battery relay, but now when I start the car the interior lights are pulsing. What’s...

    Uh Oh

I’ve got a Eddie Air Gap intake and while making some mods and adjustments to throttle cable I may have dropped a small (1/4”) washer into the heater channel gap Is there any chance the washer could get sucked into the engine or damage anything? Pic for reference TIA
