Shimming is good to do, Fred, as long as you you keep your carb level. I had to shim the charger a 1/4" up on the driver side mount, just to level the carb bowls. The mounts on that Kmember must have been welded on a 70s Friday

That's hot rodding, just hurts to to take hammer to a $1000. set of beautiful looking headers. Its not so much TTI product that cause this problem, as it, is the way Chrysler assembled these cars. Plus throw in the edelbrock heads. you could always shim the motor up and over but that some...

Good evening Fred, we finely got cold weather, first time this winter. for cheap bike me and Jeri bought a couple of Ricky power sports Hawk 250 enduros from Texas power sports for $1350. ea delivered. china bikes. Quality is equal to the bikes we use to ride back in the 70s but price is right...

Be care with some 360 heads some have large chambers and will reduce compression a lot on a 318 with stock pistons and will cause very poor performance

318 makes a good build the only thing that restricts them is there stock heads. If you want to go economy route keep the stock heads. I have a Edelbrock sp2p four barrel intake for stock heads, carb and stock exhaust manifolds and a good re builder 318 ( dismantled ) you may have any part...

Thanks you guys, I can see I wont be buying any more metal etch. I have never used metal etch primer, it has always been a clear to yellow PPG product they have sold me to wipe or spray on and wipe off. Probably just because they smelled a novice.

I diffidently get the 8hr thing living here in the NW. you leave any metal bare here overnight, and becomes orange with rust.

So is (DTM) primer - Epoxy primer. The shop here that sells PPG products, tells me to to etch and sand to bare before filler. being my back ground is a construction/maintenance guy. I don't have clue, So I have always relied on them for info.

Now that I am getting to the body work part on the 65. Looking at there web site, it seems like they don't recommend metal etch before epoxy priming, and they stat to lay the filler over the epoxy primer. Whats your's and Fred's recommendation on that. Its against every thing I was told.

Wife and I sure miss it. We called it her grocery getter. It had a 69 440HP out of charger, manual 727 auto, narrowed Dana 60, and SS leaf springs moved inboard. Disc brakes ect. Fun and fast. Sold to car broker cheap. We needed cash for bills, lost our constuction business in the recession.

You know Fred, if I remember right, I only had it for a few months (dune buggy). Because after I got it running someone wanted back. :lol:So here is what the Bcuda looks like now. Light pollution is a big concern, and I am glade to see some laws being placed around here to help curb it a little. like were I work, when it was being built they had to use special downward facing lights, and could only be 12' high.
