I am looking for a driver side chrome hood scoop bezel for a 1970 Dart Swinger 340. Mine was missing when I bought the car. Driver quality is fine. I know I can buy them new but the one I have looks good so thought I would try to find used one. Thanks.

My 70 Dart with ralley dash was hard to remove also, you have to remove lighter assembly. Dash is held in place on that end by it. Have to reach under dash and unthread lighter apart. Part of lighter you can see is threaded into back half.

My 70 Dart 340 has the same pump and pulley setup as yours, steering is sensitive but doesn't cause driving issues. Seems common for that vintage of car, GM was almost the same from 60's thru 70's, drove a lot of them. Just a matter of getting used to it.

Thanks, epoxy should work fine. I was missing a few of the factory nuts but found some that work. Don't envy you having to locate and drill all the holes. Had my factory hood blasted on under side and they warped the crap out of hood so had to find another and put all the holes in, not too bad...

I checked, Rockauto wants me to send my gear to them to build, 50/50 I get mine back. My son bought a throttle body from them and one injector leaked, wound up spending about a hundred buck to cure it. Don't know if I want to mess with them. Firm feel is $425.00.

My thoughts. They were painted yellow, under that was white, and the original color was the orange. I have seen other types of bars that were orange but not the snubber type. Like I sad before it doesn't really matter, I just am working with a very old and worn out memory.

When I sanded them down the original decal was covered by other decals and they just crumbled so could not make them out. Guess it doesn't matter, was just curious.

Does anyone know who made snubber style traction bars for a body. Thought mine were Lakewood but when removed to clean up and repaint under all the years of paints mine were orange. Every pair of Lakewood bars I have ever had were yellow. Just wondering, they are yellow now and back on the car.
