Thanks 4spdragtop.{yes she is a 318}I will check there for the oil sending unit. The rear end fluid is up there because I just replaced both rear axel bearings and seals yesterday. I tried that by putting it up on jack stand and turning the wheels , no noise that way, I even dropped the drive...

Demon, I did take the hub caps off , a friend told me about that, still had that noise. Yesterday I replaced both rear axel bearings , took it out for a ride still have that darn noise in the rear end. Does any one know where I can hook up a oil pressure gadge ? I cant seem to find the oil...

Demonic, I went thru the brakes and didn't see anything rubbing or any rub marks. When I have it up on jack stands I cant hear the noise. Thanks Bruce.
