    [SOLD] 1973 Duster $1500 OBO

More pictures. Parts include some rotors I was gonna put on the front, wipers, spark plugs, and misc trim I think. Rear right brakes not hooked up currently, you can blame me for that. Body work is needed. I don't want to mislead anyone about anything like it happened to me. Make me an offer...

    [SOLD] 1973 Duster $1500 OBO

The rear seat does not fold down. I'll get a bunch more pictures today with any luck. There's also a few parts for it in the trunk

    [SOLD] 1973 Duster $1500 OBO

I bought a 73 Duster, and I am not in a position to fix it unfortunately. A lot of issues. Brakes are bad. Windshield has a hole in it. Powersteering leaks. Torsion bar crossmember cracked and rusted through on drivers side. Electrical is bad. Starts and drives, though the transmission is far...

    Help Wanted

Yes it is. Though I have been warned about the dangers of driving it, and it isn't exactly fun to drive currently. But yes.

    Help Wanted

Hello Everyone. I have found a ton of support on this forum, and think I should properly introduce myself. My name is Mason, I recently bought a 74 Plymouth Duster 225 Auto. I am new to working on cars, but have a mechanical background, coming from a farm/ranch upbringing in North Dakota. I...

    Brake parts

Its a 74, and I believe they are 9 inch brakes. But I swore I ordered 9 inch shoes and they were too small

    @cudamark here's what I've got. Hope it's enough.

    Brakes really weak

UPDATE: Started taking my rear brakes apart and I think I know why my brakes are soft. The wheel cylinders have practically disintegrated inside so I'm getting next to no braking power and I think I read that can make brakes soft too. A dilemma: I ordered new springs, shoes, and wheel cylinders...

    Brake parts

Hey all. I ordered brake parts for my plymouth duster from autozone (shoes, springs, and wheel cylinders) and they weren't right. Where do y'all buy brake parts?

    Think I'm screwed

I plan on replacing that for sure yeah. Thank

    Think I'm screwed

Hey, uh what is everyone's opinion on doing rivoted floorboards. I saw a video on it and honestly, I'm making ends meet and trying to have a fun car right now so I'm building thinking short term. When/if I get a good job out of college I'll fix it later more permanently, but could robot...

    Front end too low

UPDATE: I recently realized that the wheel rub only happens on the driver side, despite having identical wheels and tires left to right. I also discovered that my torsion bar support is cracked on the driver side, more like sheared. Would this cause my car to sit lower on that side so it rubs...

    Brake line oops

Additionally, where can I buy quality affordable replacement parts. The ones I got from auto zone aren't right

    Brake line oops

I was working on my brakes today and I snapped a brake line. I'm going to a junkyard to pick parts off a dart tomorrow. Do brake lines disconnect in conventions places? I snapped the one where it connects to the back right wheel cylinder

    Think I'm screwed

Oh thank God. I recently located a 73 dart swinger parts car at a pull and pay. Would a suitable replacement be on it? And maybe even useable floorboards?

    Think I'm screwed

I got a 73 duster recently that was going to be my project. I guess I fucked up and failed to see the cracks in the frame. Is this cheaply fixable, like within $1000 or should I start looking for ways to lose this car?

    Steering Scares Me

@cudamark thanks and the pump would fit too? Provided I use the mountings on my slant 6

    Steering Scares Me

UPDATE: I got the power steering working! Then I learned that there are leaks on both the pump and the "driver"? Whatever the device that the steering column goes into, that leaks. Fortunately, I found a 73 dodge dart swinger in a junk yard with a v8 in it and has the pump and "driver" in it...

    Transmissions swap

@Dana67Dart Wait sorry, what switches in particular? Where are those located? Would they be connected to the transmission or shifter and I can trace them back to unplug?
  26. M

    Transmissions swap

Hey all, I am wanting to do a transmission swap on my 74 duster 225 auto. I tracked down a 74 valiant with a 3 speed and a 225. Would the 3 speed fit in my duster with little to no complications, provided I grab all the necessary parts? PS the auto trans in my duster is failing and i love...

    Wiring harness

Hey all. I'm thinking about getting a new wiring harness for my 74 225 plymouth duster. Any tips on where to get quality yet affordable options? Thanks

    Manual Transmission swap

Hey all. I have a 74 Plymouth Duster 225 auto and at some point I want to put a manual, either 3 or 4 speed in it. What do I all need to buy for parts. I've read I need an engine matching bell housing and pedals? Not 100% sure what is all needed so a shopping list would be great! Thanks

    Steering Scares Me

Sorry. Yeah I meant power steering fluid. Ok well I'm definitely feeling that I just didn't put enough in then. It drank my first bottle as soon as I turned it on and I didn't see any leaking so it must just need more
  30. M

    Steering Scares Me

That's making me think it may be broken but I'm not 100% sure. I did hook it up and put some oil in it and ran it. The power steering didn't return but the oil did disappear, making me think it might work and I just didn't have nearly enough oil in it
