Its a 74, and I believe they are 9 inch brakes. But I swore I ordered 9 inch shoes and they were too small

UPDATE: Started taking my rear brakes apart and I think I know why my brakes are soft. The wheel cylinders have practically disintegrated inside so I'm getting next to no braking power and I think I read that can make brakes soft too. A dilemma: I ordered new springs, shoes, and wheel cylinders...

UPDATE: I recently realized that the wheel rub only happens on the driver side, despite having identical wheels and tires left to right. I also discovered that my torsion bar support is cracked on the driver side, more like sheared. Would this cause my car to sit lower on that side so it rubs...

I was working on my brakes today and I snapped a brake line. I'm going to a junkyard to pick parts off a dart tomorrow. Do brake lines disconnect in conventions places? I snapped the one where it connects to the back right wheel cylinder

I got a 73 duster recently that was going to be my project. I guess I fucked up and failed to see the cracks in the frame. Is this cheaply fixable, like within $1000 or should I start looking for ways to lose this car?

UPDATE: I got the power steering working! Then I learned that there are leaks on both the pump and the "driver"? Whatever the device that the steering column goes into, that leaks. Fortunately, I found a 73 dodge dart swinger in a junk yard with a v8 in it and has the pump and "driver" in it...

@Dana67Dart Wait sorry, what switches in particular? Where are those located? Would they be connected to the transmission or shifter and I can trace them back to unplug?

Sorry. Yeah I meant power steering fluid. Ok well I'm definitely feeling that I just didn't put enough in then. It drank my first bottle as soon as I turned it on and I didn't see any leaking so it must just need more

That's making me think it may be broken but I'm not 100% sure. I did hook it up and put some oil in it and ran it. The power steering didn't return but the oil did disappear, making me think it might work and I just didn't have nearly enough oil in it
