I am fighting a reoccurring exhaust leak between the bottom of my manifold and the flange on the Downpipe. I have tried remflex gaskets and have come to the conclusion that the flange is not flat how do I remove the flange from the pipe without cutting it?

So i had a exhaust leek and i think it was coming from between the two manifolds and i was wondering if i need to get those surfaces machined. i wire brushed them up before the photo. I was also wondering if permatex make a gasket would help seal.

I have a single barrel slant six with the snorkel air cleaner the vacuum pot does not pull up when attached to the heat strip inside the air cleaner but when i bipass it and pulls the snorkel flap open.
