Okay, I did the spark test and no spark using a plug and plug wire to the coil. It's gonna take me a bit to do the other tests.

I did take the distributor cap off and the rotor has moved. It is all stock as far as I know.

74 Duster 318. Car died waiting at stop light. Getting plenty of fuel and starter will turn motor but will not fire. Things I have replaced are, ballast resistor, coil, distributor cap and rotor all new plug wires and ICM. I have also giggled all connections I could find. Still will not turn...

No sludge, I changed the oil pan gasket when I bought the car. It was leaking. The light doesnt flicker or even come on except right when I start it and if I brake hard. Thanks for all the help. I get a gauge on it and see what's up.

No damage to the oil pan. And I just changed the oil and the correct amount of oil registered on the dipstick. The sensor did the same thing prior to the oil change.

Anybody know why my oil light would come on when I brake hard? Oil level is good in the car. It is a 74 Duster with a 318.

It's all about the sound. I dont need to go fast anymore. My daily driver is twice as powerful as my Duster but the 318 Duster with duels sounds much better!!

I hope the stop leak works. I would rather not have to replace the seal. Having to go through the firewall seems almost impossible for a mechanically challenged individual like myself.

I figured I did something when I lowered the column. I just went for a 30 hour drive and it's hardly leaked anything since I've been home. Fingers crossed.

I think I at least bought a little time. Lucas power steering stop leak really slowed it down. I'll look for some videos for help also. Thanks

Hello, found the leak. I have attached a picture. Coming out around the shaft going into the gear box.

Only had it a couple months. Having fun so far. Love the classics but baby steps getting it where it should be.

Not sure exactly where it is leaking. It not at the fluid reservoir. It close to the power steering box

I dropped my steering column today on my 74 Duster to put in some new instrument panel light bulbs. Didnt drop more than a few inches. Now I have a huge power steering fluid leak. Anybody have a similar issue?
