Chrysler brings back the Dodge Dart

To add my 2 cents, seems like the new one, compact, affordable, lively, is in character with the original.

    Any newfies here?

I've been out of the loop, you got some land 'up da' shore' in Cape Broyle. Not to far from my hometown St.John's. Summer is beautiful there, all two weeks of it. PS not enough flat land for a dragstrip:).

Depends...if you have to buy control arms, ball joints, etc. It might be cheaper to get a complete assembly from a part car.

    Buying American=American Pride

Profit does pay salaries, which get invested back into the economy. Even CAT which started this thread does 50% of its business overseas, so there is positive aspects to global trade. If it makes anyone feel better, Canadian manufactures are struggling. My last employer shut down Canadian...

    Silver Wheels Insurance

I think silver wheels is a pretty good deal at a $100 or so a year, my other insurance company (PC Finincial) wanted over $900. I'm guessing they are all underwritten by Aviva anyhow..

    Fiat 500

I think they do well with it, I noticed a push for premium small cars at the Toronto Autoshow this year. But I bet it will be pricy, a la the Mini and Beetle. I have to admit, apart from the Dodge Ram, Chryslers showing was pretty weak.

    Toyota Troubles!

This is getting pretty heated... these are multinational companies, and I'm pretty sure there not trying to kill us. The company who made/designed the pedals (CTS, based in Elkhart IN) is a North American auto parts supplier who also supply the assembly to Ford and GM. It will be interesting to...

1971 swinger 52,800 original miles for sale

Hey, I have the identical car. For what its worth, the 'bubble' under the top is the seam where the roof is joined to the body. I replaced the vinyl a couple of year ago, the factory did a really crappy job filling the join. Probably not rust. Good luck.

    First 'Major' ticket

I'm with plumcrazy on this, set a court date, (it will probably take about a year to get a court date) and they will likely reduce the charge and points. I did this just before christmas. I had 2 charges, 1. failure to show insurance, (insurance slip was expired). 2. 21km over I think, the...

How much trouble will it be to rebuild the front end?!

I just finished this job, I went with Moog and TRW, you pay a premium, but quality costs. I bought most of the parts locally, no great savings buying this stuff online, that being said I did get the odd thing from Rockauto, and had a good experience with them. The job wasn't cheap, but I will...

    Canadian factory Rht-hand drive Barracuda

I don't doubt it..I think RHD cars were built in canada and exported to other commonwealth countries to avoid duties. If you check the VIN you might find an 'R' for the Windsor plant. I also read on another site that a guy had a Canadian made RHD '67 barracuda.

    Who sells KH calipers 4"

I had both calipers rebuild for $80. They pretty much the same as a mid '60s mustang. If you need them sleeved it will cost a lot more (I was quoted about $140 per)...If you can't find a local rebuilder, rock auto or calipers online is probably the way to go..
