Best wiring harness for 73 Duster

Ma Mopar didn't make that easy! The GOOD news is that those plugs were the same for many years. Not that hard to reconstruct from salvaged 12" (suggestion) wire ends.

Best wiring harness for 73 Duster

Excellent answer!! 2nd only to M&H from Year One (and theirs may take a little "nudging" despite claims of "exact repacment" M & H tech support is great, but you have to buy the year one harness first.

How to - Hillbilly Timing Tape

AAaaa, calipers! Among the many tools most folks would toss over a shoulder with a "WTF"...Calipers and the knowledge/will to use them in awkward situations - even BETTER!

    Early A 727 Speedometer hole

Then if (when!) it goes away you won't know 'til the damage is done! Go with method #1 (or take your original to a machine shop to fabricate a replacement)

Any interest in Skip White HEI walk through?

Please let us (well, maybe just me) know what you find. I'm planning on ignition upgrades for the 64ragtop as I get back into it. Got sidetracked for a few years, but coming back around...

    Good Day

Not too long ago, an Austin, Texas, officer pulled up beside me, tooted his horn and rolled down his window, so I did too. He simply said that my left brake light was not working, that I have a nice car, and that i oughtta fix that soon. When I turned in at the next autoparts store, he blipped...

    1965 Valiant

Hey man, good to know you're still around. Me, too. Just had a bunch of personal stuff, V.A. stuff, and other interests. My A bodies (the '64 ragtop and a '64 coupe) have been gathering dust, but getting some more attention lately. don't know what title issues are in Va, but here in Texas ya...

    [FOR SALE] Complete A-Body 8 1/4 rear-end, 3:21 open gears.

So, perhaps this and other for sale threads could just be closed after, say, 6 months of no activity. Then, if a seller still has the item for sale it could be re-posted. Seems this would put the burden on the sellers to keep their for sale items current (well, more current) and not unduly...

    [FOR SALE] Complete A-Body 8 1/4 rear-end, 3:21 open gears.

Well, nobody SAID it was gone! My pet peeve with for sale listings in forums - no notifications when items are no longer available. Thus, here we are over 2 years out and still wondering... BC

    "the wayback "

Amazing project, Ric, from another old salt. Cracks me up to see the latecomers chime in with "here's what you should have done..." There are a couple of things I'd have done differently, but you didn't! And as I always say: Your car, your money (and time and SKILLED labor), YOUR choices...

Question on 1965 Dart GT Charger

Congrats on continued progress! Good move on brake upgrade. Not original, but much safer/more reliable for a driver that's not a trailer queen! BC

A Life long collection that must go. Some pics to scan through

Here's hoping you're doing better, sir. I recall seeing some parts I could use, but shipping to Texas would have been a challenge. Maybe now some folks nearer to you can find parts they need, and a better inventory can be compiled. All the best to you and yours... BC

    1965 Valiant

Gotta fix the trailer to move the project - - I know that situation well! Just now, the 64ragtop is up on a Kwik Lift driveway ramp for transmission work. The pushbuttons jammed up solid. I think it's pretty minor, but getting around to it is tough. Funny coincidence! My daily driver is...

66 dart with 360 ...what manifolds or headers?

But, at some point those 273 manifolds are going to be the choke point and it won't matter what's on the intake side, the motor won't breathe! Have ya seen our member Treblig's manifolds? http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/member.php?u=32361 I've been thinking about a stroker for the...

    Bringin' it back to life

Thanks, Bad Sport, for the worst case process. That's pretty much what I was afraid I'd have to do. And thanks to the rest of y'all for the experience that says it doesn't need to be that thorough. The lack of heat cycling here raised my hopes about "bad gas" - I think we had 2 days this past...

    Bringin' it back to life

My '88 motorhome's been sitting for about 15 months and I'm about ready to get it back on the road. It's got a 318 with single point fuel injection and I'm concerned about the old gas getting gummy or losing octane or "whatever" and causing problems on startup. Also wondering if the oil may...

    Putting a 426 Hemi in a 1966 Barracuda

Pretty sure Schmacher has 'em. http://www.engine-swaps.com/index.html That's putting a lot of extra weight (and horsepower) in the front of a small, light car. Ought to go like hell in a straight line if ya can get it to hook up. Could get mighty "interesting" if ya want to turn corners...
