    Head gaskets for 360

Did you find and insert alignment dowel pins? If not I'd start there and then get new head gaskets, fel pro are fine so you don't waste another expensive set in case that's not the problem and ARP says you can re use their bolts as long as they weren't over stretched

Hey fellow virginian, have you noticed machine shops are getting scarce? I cant find anyone within a 2 hour drive who will just dunk a block for me. I want to pull out this #'s matching 318 and recondition it and put it aside for if I ever sell this thing or get tired of romping around in a...

    UH Oh.

as far as the bore size goes I just figured .030 over was the least drastic way to go to get decent horsepower on pump gas and not have to spend a ton on pistons and heads, but please, if theres a better way I'm all ears/eyes
  14. Samsquanch

    UH Oh.

Machine shops because he's interested in whole cycle of engine/car restoration which means trips to body shops and all that jazz also, The LA vs Magnum is a great place to start because I have the same questions he is going to have but, from what I've lightly read about them some say LA some...

I'll try to reach out to him today my dilemma is, I was trying to build this with my son who suddenly has a fascination with old cars and motors and how they work. I was hoping to find a conditioned .030 over 360 block to build a 408 stroker and show him how to do the research and go to machine...

Hey everybody, New to mopars so far I'm liking it

Dont know why it quoted you but nope a magnum would suit me just fine just as long as I don't have to do a bunch of fabbing to motor mounts. Magnums were roller motors anyway right? if so, EVEN BETTER!
  25. Samsquanch

    UH Oh.

I think the crack across the top of the lifter housing pretty much does me in for sleeving it but who knows maybe someone who has had this problem will chime in
  26. Samsquanch

    UH Oh.

I recently acquired a 1977 LA 360 block and discovered this in one of the lifter bores. Some one please tell me it's no big deal PLEASE!!!! I was planning on building a stroker out of it but I think I'm screwed with this block. paid $300 for it. My guess is it's a gonner. Let's say I have to buy...
