    TTI header woes

    If you're talking about the TTI headers, they have been out longer than ten years. I bought mine in either '08 or '09. I've never had a problem with mine, great fit and they still look as good as they did when I first put them in the car.

    I did my swap (5.7 into a 70 Cuda) back in 2009 when there wasn't a lot of stuff available for the swap. I used a Charlie's oil pan and have never had any problems with it. They are made to order so you would have to call them but the pans are beautifully made. Oil Pans

    With Hagerty you don't have a chance to volunteer it. When I insured my Cuda they specfically said that any kind of wheel tubs were not permitted and required pictures of the inside of the trunk and I am guessing it was for the purpose of determining that the rear wheel wells were stock.

    I've had my 5.7 Hemi in my 70 Cuda with a TF727 behind it for over 12 years now and never had any kind of support piece on it like that. I've never had an issue. Is it really necessary or is it something the aftermarket wants you to think is necessary?

    You should keep the shims under the valve springs, you don't want to run valve springs without them on aluminum heads.

    I wasn't aware of that! I used a TF727 with the starter on the left on my swap. Since the engine is offset in the engine bay there's no interference with the pitman arm. I'm guessing that most of the swaps incorporating the factory trans with the starter on the right probably used aftermarket K...

    Why are you mounting the starter on the right side? Most Mopar apps have the starter on the left side. That could be your problem.

    I'm a retired police officer, and I agree with what others here have said, the police car engine is not the best choice. They are right in that the cars do spend long periods idling and they aren't well cared for either. I would definitely go with the 2014 option!
