Any tricks to removing a stuck/stubborn/rusted-in place bleeder?

Just spray it with Maltby brand penetrating fluid. The only place I've found it is in Riverside, California. 510-993-1932 work, or 866-562-5829 mobile. It works way better than PB Blaster or WD-40. It works so good that I bought a case.

    PAXTON SUPERCHARGER NOVI 1200 KIT

A friend of mine had a '71 Duster 340 and put a Paxton on it. He had all kinds of trouble. First, the hollow brass floats were crushed (4-5 psi boost), then the "hat" carb cover leaked everywhere, then it would run lean on boost. Over and over. It took him 2 months to get all the little...

    Mount caster/camber gauge

I have a magnetic caster/camber gauge, and I use my spare tire/wheel and another spare from a junkyard (both with steel rims and same size tires) to set the alignment. After the alignment is set, put the mags back on and you are ready to roll.

    Vacuum advance issue

I have a 1970 Duster 340 that needs 100 octane gas (stock). In order to make it run on 91 octane (California), I disabled the MECHANICAL advance and run initial at around 10 degrees, and then tailor the vacuum advance to yield the most advance without pinging. I outran a 1969 Hemi Road Runner...

    340 stroker 422

A zero deck is when the pistons are level with the top of the block at TDC. A negative deck CLEARANCE is when the pistons stick out of the block. A positive CLEARANCE is when you have MORE clearance, such as when the pistons are down in the hole at TDC. The key word here is CLEARANCE. If you...

    340 stroker 422

The main thing I did was remove the mechanical advance and just rely on initial setting and vacuum. The rest of the stuff was due to having the stock cast iron heads. The stock iron heads don't have much in the way of quench, so I had to get pretty creative. The 340 was stock except for...

    340 stroker 422

I have a 340 Duster with the stock cam and heads (10.5:1) that pinged all the time. I won't tell you how I modfied that, but I outran a 1969 hemi Road runner 6 times out of 7 ( I missed a 2-3 shift once) and his car ran 12.17 at OCIR. The car was owned and driven by Bill Phillips who was...

    727 vibration

If the vibration fades in and out as you are driving, then check the pinion angle and trans mount. If the vibration happens when you are sitting still, then it has to be engine related up to and including the torque convertor and flex plate.

    727 vibration

When I bought my 340 Duster new, the alternator was out of balance and caused a vibration at around 2,000 rpm. It was so bad that it was breaking the alternator mounting bolts. Also, check the trans-cross member mounting hardware, including the rubber mount.

    Fusible Link Tool Needed

yes, I understand what must be done, but there is no room in the multiple connector for a screwdriver or needle nose. Is there a special tool available to remove this connector? The spade connector got hot enough to stick in the plug, which has 6 or 8 other spade connectors in it and is part...

    Fusible Link Tool Needed

My ignition switch grenaded and burned out the fusible link. Everything has been replaced except the fusible link. The old male spade connector needs to be removed before I can plug in the new fusible link. I need a tool to get the male spade connector out of the plug block.
