Anyone know of a good source for aftermarket front and rear spoilers that would fit with my '68 Barracuda Convertible restomod project?

MOPAR VIRGIN's 1968 Barracuda Convertible RestoMod Journey

And so ... We ended-up with that custom paint color. It was a BIG GAMBLE and the shop owner was not an advocate of it (he is now), but after deliberating over three visits over the other colors, we went for it and feel it has yielded an incredible result, but likely to tork the Mopar and...

MOPAR VIRGIN's 1968 Barracuda Convertible RestoMod Journey

So in our research, we learned that in 2010 Dodge made 450 special edition Challengers in a paint called Furious Fuschia that was on the cover of Motor Trend. No chance I was going to find 1 of 450 in our area to look at, but it is also known as Tuscadaro on Jeep Rubicons. We happened upon one...

MOPAR VIRGIN's 1968 Barracuda Convertible RestoMod Journey

I wish I had more photos of the process and progress as the project moved along, but the shop owner is really old-school (e.g. he does not have an email account, mobile phone or digital camera). Plus, the half-year we live in the PacNW our house is 60miles from the shop, so we don't get many...

MOPAR VIRGIN's 1968 Barracuda Convertible RestoMod Journey

Then the reconstructive surgery began while I sweated and watched my budget explode. This effort involved splicing in the partial panels, plus fabricating the lower sections due to the panels being too rusted. This truly needed a veteran pro doing the work.

MOPAR VIRGIN's 1968 Barracuda Convertible RestoMod Journey

So, off to Wildcat Mopar Auto Wreaking in the middle of the woods near Mt. Hood, OR for me and my friend. This is an incredible Mopar-only business everyone should know about. We harvested two partial rear quarter panels for the shop to work magic with.

MOPAR VIRGIN's 1968 Barracuda Convertible RestoMod Journey

And here are pictures of the rear end that provide a reference point of the damage. To us, it looked more like panel alignment and small amount of body work, but hey, what did I know?

MOPAR VIRGIN's 1968 Barracuda Convertible RestoMod Journey

We bought the car based on several phone conversations with the seller in Jan'21. These are a couple of the photos provided, and no, there were to photos of the rear end ...

MOPAR VIRGIN's 1968 Barracuda Convertible RestoMod Journey

With the backstory provided above, this is the "inspiration car" we started the project with in our minds as-to what a Gen2 Bcuda RestoMod could yield. We did not enter into this with Panther Pink as our intended color, but more on that later.

MOPAR VIRGIN's 1968 Barracuda Convertible RestoMod Journey

Many people on this forum have been graciously helpful with their advice, recommendations and referrals. Felt I should pull back the curtain on this project and chronicle it at bit and provide some visuals. This all started in my attempt to build the car with my own hands with the help of a...

[WANTED] Oil Dipstick Tube for Slant 6

    Wiring Suggestion/Help

First of all, thank for providing all the information. Sadly, I am 100% electrically illiterate but the shop doing the build isn't and my elctrical engineer neighbor is highly proficient, though I can never understand him when he talks electrical stuff. I'll inquire about this things over the...

    Wiring Suggestion/Help

Thanks for the tip/lead. I'll call them and make sure what they call a "small block" would work on Slant 6. Clicked you link on the build. Looks like you are about 9months behind where my project is. Fun but costly ... thx again for the help !

    Wiring Suggestion/Help

Don't know, and not sure a rep/tech would know if mixing them with their plug-in connectors would align across mixed years, so thought someone at FABO would have faced this and have a definitive answer/solution rather than rolling-the-dice. Already dealing with radiator issues associated to...

    Wiring Suggestion/Help

On our '68 Bcuda Convertible build, we swapped an older 225 with a point ditributor to a '74 with an electronic distributor. Now we've realized the new brand new wiring harness from Classic Industries for the '68 doesn't work for this and looking for anyone's experience/suggestion whether we...

[WANTED] Oil Dipstick for '74 Slant 6

Hi there ... Apologies for the late reply but was away for the weekend and then learned the hard way that FABO limits me to only 15 emails in the Inbox. Took a while to figure all that issue out. That said, I need both items and would be grateful if you have a "pair to spare". Let me know how...

[WANTED] Alternator Tensionor Bracket for '74 Slant 6

We appear to be missing ours as we are now in the assembly/build of our project. Not clear if there is a difference with or without aftermarket AC, but this does have aftermarket AC. Hoping someone out there to sell or knows a source?

    Exhaust Pros/Cons for Slant 6

No track/racing with this car. I do want it to have some punch off stop lights and able to pass when necessary, but all-in-all, we are aiming the build as an eye-catching, unique, and sporty restomod cruiser that will be driven. Visually, the aftermarket rear valance has openings for dual...

    Exhaust Pros/Cons for Slant 6

Hi all ... My '68 Barracuda project is moving along and will start with a rebuilt '74 /6 comprising of a factory bore, mild cam upgrade, standard intake manifold with 2bbl carb and dual exhaust header) + A908 drive line. I was intending to build the exhaust system with the '74 motor as a dual...

Help with Heater & AC Control Assembly

A "dial" is a circular controller that pivots. In the case of these cars, the radio and fan controllers pivot vertically. The CAA kit appears to ship with the fan controller operating via a "sliding" mechanism that is used for the Off/Heat/Defrost and Temperature settings.
