Curious, fuel tank pickup hole size/options

my tank is original, i have had it out a couple times and looked inside of it and it seems okay, I will recheck it this go-around as it's been about 7 years sitting again. I've read some ways of cleaning out the insides but likely I will just need to find a replacement if it's looking too bad.

Curious, fuel tank pickup hole size/options

I currently have this - FiTech Gas Tank Return Line Bung Kit, For Fuel Injection - No Welding | eBay - I don't think it requires any sort of welding/brazing. My brother also suggested I run it into the filler tube but I also would prefer not drilling holes in that either. The sending units are...

Dans 30 year 63' fi mag project

This is a build thread for my 63' that I've just been blessed with the time and space to be able to work on a bit. This car was originally a Missouri car =( It was a 223 /6 with 3 on the tree. When I acquired it, it had already had a 904 put into it and the column shifter oddly hooked to shift...

Early a body column bush/seal question

I went ahead and got one of those ordered. I have another question now that maybe I should start another post about but it's on the same subject. Anyone have any experience with this TSB of removing horn ground and replacing with this other bushing? My column makes the sounds described in the...

Early a body column bush/seal question

Hi guys, hopefully another easy question for ya'll. Rebuilding and removing some shifting parts on my old 3 on tree column. I am in the process of replacing bushings and reassembly. Question: there's what seems to be a lower shaft bushing/seal that sits inside a cup in the lower of the column...

Help with 63' steering link part decisions please. =-)

I have that. I need to change the pitman and stabalizer bar to drop more also. My dad has a 66' with factory 273 4 speed and his pitman for sure drops much further than my 63' /6's The pitman I linked looks correct (I think), the one on my /6 currently looks much less bent.

Help with 63' steering link part decisions please. =-)

Hi all, As the post says, I'm quite confused as to which parts I need to buy to finish my v8 conversion in my 63'. I've found the below, I think the pitman is much more dipped than my current but I am having troubles deciding if the idler arm is correct or not. *Edit-- I have the centerlink I...

[Found!] SBV8 early a 64-66 centerlink with the dip and v8 mounts

I've had the motor sitting in the car, looks right at home and cant wait for it to be proper! I need mounts to make it fit correctly. I had it sitting on some huge mid 70s truck mounts i think? it was bolted in though just really tall.. :) @RustyRatRod -- Can you tell me, the k-member is the...

/6 head bolt + ring and bearing suggestions please.

I have seen some janky hanky in my life! -- IMO there's nothing like working in a clean environment with clean parts. I am very very OCD about this. Greatly saddens me we have nothing close in my area to take care of this stuff. We own a shop, I may just invest in a parts cleaner -- for...

/6 head bolt + ring and bearing suggestions please.

I 100% agree with that. What I don't agree with is that I have to drive 140 miles round trip twice to get it done. The lack of machine shops and tools in my area is really a bummer. So, me and cleaners/brakleen are going to have to do the best we can me thinks. Unless I build this motor for...

/6 head bolt + ring and bearing suggestions please.

I have another question for you /6ers that have been in these motors a couple times. The cam on this engine... seems to have a whoooole lot of horizontal slop.. I can slide it in and out of the block close to 3/8 an inch.. This seems very excessive. IS this normal for these motors? I do not...

/6 head bolt + ring and bearing suggestions please.

Thanks for all the info you guys! I have learned, thus far, more about the 6 than I ever intended too in my life! This engine has a pushrod that seems to have cracks in its cup.. not sure why or what would cause this. The engine sat for many years.. about 20. Then I changed the oil, rebuilt the...

/6 head bolt + ring and bearing suggestions please.

Rebuilding a 225 slant out of a 79' for my Dart. Curious which rings and main/rod bearings are suggested to pick up and use? This engine only needs to last me a few years then I'll swap to a SB but for now, I just wanna freshen her up a bit. I don't want to shell out $$ for a hot tank and hone...
