Hey, if I disconnect my vacuum advance unit,can I run more initial advance? I was thinking as long as I adjusted the mechanical so there is the same amount of total advance and it will still start I could/should .Thanks

I have a problem with my car surging on just a cruze.Its a 318 .040 over,performer int,625 carter,268/272 purple cam.I thought it was lean so I fattened it way up but dident help.If I disconect the vac advance,it goes away but off the line performance suffers.Anyone have any ideas?

I have a mild 318 (mild purple cam,360 heads,LD340int.3.55 sg,man valve body ) . I need a new carbfor this combo.Do I use the new holley 3310 or do I use a 625 carter? Will I run into problems with the 3310 being to big or can I just jet it down ?Just cant make up my mind.
