Its still very tight. I havent sent a ton of power through it...and the sub frames are tied too. The engine and trans are fresh. The engine was freshined in January and the trans in February. Built the car back in 09 and the rear chunk has been in it since 2014. Spent a couple thousand more...

Thanks man...its got an 8-3/4 with richmond 4.56's, strange spool and moser axles with green bearings. If someone were buying it to put back on the street i have a 3.23 open chunk and a welded 3.23 chunk too....

....to put it back on the street it would need: All of the windshield wiper components from the parts car installed The fuel tank from the parts car installed (parts car still runs off it..so i assume its still ok) Treaded dot rear tires The taillights and brake lights would need bulbs installed...

It actually drives incredibly straight and smooth. Stops and steers great too. The windshield wipers are gone...but the parts car has all that stuff on it if needed :)

Well-i pulled my (reman junk) electronic dist yesterday to find a worn shaft bushing. This has allowed the pickup to hit the reluctor everytime it spins by. Im certainly hoping this was the issue-thanks for the input guys!

Im seriously starting to question my mechanical abilities because of this damn car. It has a stumble when hooked up on the track. When on a regular road it spins and zero pop...when it hooks it either pops or bogs depending on the jet. Ive changed carbs 3 times, distributors twice...

Yep, b&m quit making the correct flexplate Mopars balance and template kit ( to weld on the converter)...doesn't come with a template (and is discontinued) This is the only way to do it now....that doesn't involve a custom converter. Glad it worked for uop...I'm goin for it! Thanks for the input!

the converter uses 5/16 bolts. the holes in the 5.9 magnum flexplate are .050 larger than the ol stock 318 flexplate's hole. is this gonna be a problem? the converter snout is lined up by the crank...correct? will the extra .050 clearance be like a sloppy u joint,and be a problem upon...

No...I don't guess. I found him a 73 duster that was in WAY better condition than I was expecting to land him....but he wants to hold out for a dart or scamp. I woulda jumped all over the duster....but I guess its not about me this time.

Fired it up yesterday. Its been sitting since September. I stuck a hot battery in it, and it turned over about 1/2 a turn and was running. Snuck it down the road about 5 miles and its still running great!
