Thanks everyone. SSG-yeah that was my initial thought. Two years ago I got that sorted out. It took a couple of shims but it’s right on the money now. Doing that changed the character of the vibration but didn’t eliminate it by any means. Justinp61–you must have been ecstatic when that happened...

Sometimes the vibration is worse than others, for reasons I don’t understand

There a little vibration in my motor when standing still and revving, but not much. I haven’t actually shut the motor off at 30 mph but my sense is not much would change in what I perceive as a driveline vibration.

Hmmm... I don't think those are what I'm looking for, but thanks for the response. I'm pretty sure that's what I have on there now. What I do know is I have the FF tubular upper control arms and the FF seamless tie rod adjuster sleeves, so that's probably where I got the tie rod ends, 6-7...

I'm going to be redoing my suspension soon, and I remember seeing some really nice tie rod ends somewhere… They had polyurethane boots with a nice wire tie holding them on. Does anyone remember seeing these? I need 11/16" ends ... thanks!

Thanks for the responses! My son had told me he thought it possible. I've got stock heads so I think I'll give it a try. I've got a noisy valve train in a built 408. Hoping that replacing the lifters might help. Can't make it worse. Pretty mild cam--any suggestions or brands to stay away from??

Here's what I feel is a stupid question, but: In a 360 LA motor, can the lifters be removed and replaced without removing the heads or intake??
