Can anybody tell me the differences between early and late front pumps for our 727s? I am working on rebuilding my 727 but my front pump is trashed. I got my hands on one from a Ram but it's probably a '77-80. Any idea if this would for me? Thanks

I would go with option 2. If you have a goal of 500hp you're going to have to do a little work to the engine. It seems like a waste of time/money to put it all together to get it running, then tear it apart again.

I've just got concerns about the thrust bearing and the threads are a little bit beat up so I want full engagement of whatever i use to pull the balancer on. I'm leaning towards all thread or a long bolt that I can cut the head off of and tap the shank.

What is everybody using to install their harmonic balancers? My kit wont work since the threads are so deep in the crack

Additional details about your engine would be extremely useful.... what heads? cam, springs? pistons, rods, crank? I'm sure you could get it to turn 8000rpm... once.

I will be running a 5.7 with a megasquirt harness and MS3 comp. My question is, can you get new pins to re-pin the factory plugs? And is it worth it to do so? Also, does anybody have a lead on replacement plugs? The ones for my oil sensor and crank sensor seem to have disappeared...

The dealership I spoke to said they only sell lifters as a set of 4 @ $89.75. They do sell exhaust valves individually @ $9.25. Valves, yes. Lifters, unfortunately, no. I went ahead and ordered the valve from the dealer... Don't suppose you have any lifters laying around? :D

Currently my '72 Dart has ps, but I'm looking to get rid of it for clearance purposes. I have a '64 'cuda that I am parting out with manual steering. Will I run into any problems trying to use it's manual steering set up in my Dart?
