Crazy story about a dealer screwin a deployed soldier

A billboard advertisement pointing to the many articles written on this situation should be taken out as close to the dealership as possible. Public opinion will have the guy out of business in a year.

    68 Coronet inspect.

It does not make sense that a rear defrost is required because not all cars have a rear defrost. Your legal requirement is to have clear rear vision. Which can be done with two side mirrors and the rear enclosed, ie. a van. Or scrape the window like the other hundreds of vehicles that don't...

    Do I need a choke?

Got it. I’ve never seen that removed. I figured he meant there was no choke cable/linkage. I guess when you live in southern states you probably would never need the plate. But, I would think it would be beneficial in Stockholm unless he doesn’t drive it November - April.

    Do I need a choke?

I don't see a throttle plate. Is it a bad picture, my bad eyes or is it actually missing the throttle plate? How does it even run properly let alone start without that?

    was this my imagination ?

^^^^^^ I would agree, has to be set perfect for igniting at TDC, just like the cars of today do. Fire the compressed cylinder to start at a red light when foot comes off the brake. Don't gas golf carts work on the same principle???

Who makes rims in our backspacing?

Agree, 5 x 101.6mm is what you're looking for, IF you have the small bolt pattern. I got customs from American Racing. When looking at their wheels look under "bolt pattern" and it will say "custom". The 5 x 101.6mm is considered a custom. Some wheels even have custom in their name...

    Yipes, Stripes!

First I'd try hard to custom match the green. Second choice.....I'd consider an outline of a butt stripe using same colour green pinstripe (more colour options in pinstripe). It's a way to put a white stripe on a white car.

    I need your honest opinion

Hi SlantedMark4, I believe you are struggling with your emotional attachment to your first classic car. You do not want to see it as a failure purchase, yet you may well be seeing it as a mistake. Well you are not the first, and not the last, to take on a project and realize the money pit is...

    American racing torque thrust

Fit as in within the wheel well? Yes. Fit as in 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern? No, unless you have changed your rear axles and your front disc, or drum, to a 4.5 bolt pattern. If your car is stock you'll need 5 x 4 bolt pattern.

    69 Barracuda dash bezel options

That doesn't mean a Formula S can't have a base or deluxe option bezel. It just means the Formula S also had the the woodgrain with black option.

    5x4 Bolt Pattern Aftermarket Options

Yep, it took me 5 years to decide and pony up. But I was never happier than the day I put them on.

    5x4 Bolt Pattern Aftermarket Options

Look at the American Racing Wheel you'd like. Under Bolt pattern it says "Blank". That means they'll do it custom and the small bolt pattern of Mopar is considered custom. I believe you want a 5 x 101.6 bolt pattern which is the same as a 5 x 4" bolt pattern. Some wheels are named "custom"...

Which lift is preferred (2 post or 4 post)?

I'm focussing on your bad knees comment. Be aware, if the height of your garage does not allow a 4 post to go right to the top (with car on it) then you will be doing a lot of knee bending to get in under it to work the jack that lifts the wheels off of it. There are some pretty slick rods out...

318 Engine Running Like Crap - Help Needed

It's alive, it's alive! Points and condenser. Running like a charm. Very busy last two days and got back to it this morning. I checked the points gap and it was good, however the points seemed to have an arcing mark on them (pic in post #18). In the end I believe it was a bad condenser, but...
