Wiper only works on one speed

I guess I will remove the wiper motor and sand the paint behind the motor, see what that does. Or maybe just run a wire to a ground first to see if that is the problem.

Need advice on installing new fuel line

Nope, not really sure that is the problem. And you are right, a 5/16 line should be fine. The current 5/16 line is over 40 years old, and it did sit for a while. Just want to make sure it is not the fuel line. It didn't cost a whole lot. Wish I would have changed it when the car was gutted...

Need advice on installing new fuel line

After looking at it more closely, it seems that maybe if I drop the gas tank, I could send the whole line straight through?

Need advice on installing new fuel line

My newly built 408 small block (67 Barracuda) has had problems at 4500to 5000 rpms. The engine gets off the line and runs great until I hit right around that rpm range. Frankly, that should be in its power range. (Eddie 800, Hughes 3237 cam). It seems to be cutting out from lack of gas...

Wiper only works on one speed

Here are a couple of pics of my switch. My dash is apart right now fixing the fuel gauge and the speedo. Thanks to RedFish and the fuel gauge and DemonIVR he sent me, the fuel gauge works (initial testing anyway) and I am just waiting for my Speedo to come back Deluxe Speedo and Radio...

Wiper only works on one speed

Here is a pic of the wiper motor. Does this help? Am I missing a ground wire? This is exactly like the motor in my 73 Dart. The Dart used to have a two speed switch, but the post broke, and I replaced it with a three speed switch (only one I could find at the time that fit the plug...

Wiper only works on one speed

Anybody want to venture a guess, or a a starting point, on why my wipers work on low speed but not on high? It is a 67 Barracuda. Has a two speed switch. The wiper motor is the kind that is parallel to the firewall, not the kind that is perpendicular to the firewall.

    Relays and fuses

Thanks for the responses. But, I guess I am a little slow. What I thought was a relay in the package for my fan switch kit is actually the thermostat. In the description on Summit, it says "relay included: Yes", so looking at the stuff in the bag, I thought it was the relay. Apparently it...

    Relays and fuses

I am hooking up relays for my headlights (one for each headlight) and a small electric fan. Neither of the relays have fuses. Two questions: 1) Do I put the fuse between the starter relay and the relay? 2) The headlight relays are rated for 30 amps, and the fan relay is rated for 16 amps...

Are there clips on right side of heater box?

I need to get into my heater box (67 Barracuda, no AC) to fix a noisy fan. I was just going to take the front section off, not pull the whole box. Are there clips on the right side of the heater box against the kick panel? It seems to be stuck on that side, but maybe the caulking is just...

    Replacement of day/night mirror glass

By the way, if somebody has a mirror with good glass and a day night switch of a similar year, let me know. I don't need the post/mounting part, just the bottom part with the glass that is held on by an allen type screw.

    Replacement of day/night mirror glass

The glass in my rearview mirror in my 67 Barracuda is really bad. It has a day/night switch on the bottom. I can barely see anything with it. I have a similar one which I can use, but the glass is still not great, and I would like to keep the original. I asked a local glass shop guy if he...

    Brighter dash bulbs

Likewise, and the other issue is, my aftermarket mechanical gauges are bright enough, so I would like to "even" them out some with the dash gauges.

    Brighter dash bulbs

My dash gauge lights are kind of dim. I plan to take out my dash in a week or two to fix some gauges and was wondering if anybody has a part number for brighter dash bulbs. 67 Barracuda with rallye gauges. Thanks!

Need some advice tuning new engine

Thanks! The carb had the orange springs, and I changed them to the pink. It helped a lot! Pretty damn easy to change out the springs. I just took it for a short cruise, and it surged slightly a couple of times at the higher rpms, but didn't a couple of other times. I pushed it to over 6000...

Need some advice tuning new engine

I'm pretty much a rank amateur mechanic. But I built an engine and it runs. I couldn't have done it without the help of this forum . After the initial break in, I had a couple of oil leaks and the intake wasn't sealed correctly. I fixed this stuff and now I need some help to dial it...

    Fixing a Speedometer??

I pulled the speedo gear. It was OK. I little worn from the speedo seizing up. I put a cheap aftermarket speedo on the steering column (which works) until I get the speedo fixed. I emailed Speedometer Deluxe that SSDan recommended. They got right back to me. The cost to fix it won't be...

    Master cylinder bore sizes

I changed out the MC. I like the 1 1/32" bore better. More "feel" to the pedal.

    Vendor for body stripe kits?

I believe a member here does stripes for our Mopars? I'm looking for the 67 lower stripes (white) and want a good set.

    Fixing a Speedometer??

My Speedometer just broke. I checked the cable and it seems fine. I have a 67 Barracuda with the 150 mph speedo. Can these be fixed? Is it hard? Is there somebody who specializes in fixing speedos? I have a 3 3/8" Autometer speedometer in my Dart and it looks like (more or less) the same...

Thought I might post my 67 Barracuda progress

215/45/17 on the front, 245/45/17 rear. I bought the wheels and tires used. After I burn off the rears, I may go with a 255.

Thought I might post my 67 Barracuda progress

Thanks! I went overboard on the bucket seats, but one of my priorities was to get a set of 67 bucket seats with headrests. They were hard to find and I paid $400 for a set that was soaked in rust for a century and smelled like they were barfed on for twice that. After I spent mucho mucho...

Thought I might post my 67 Barracuda progress

I will post some of the "progress" pics this weekend. I am a rank amateur with car restorations, and if it wasn't for this site and the kind and generous folks willing to take the time to answer my questions, I would have never been able to do what I did. There is definitely a huge...

Thought I might post my 67 Barracuda progress

I had to install the upper mounting points myself and move the bottom mounting points back. If you look at post #5 in this thread, you can see what I did. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=56265

Thought I might post my 67 Barracuda progress

OK!!! Except for a laundry list of details, some tuning and a couple of issues, the car is done!!! Here are some pics. The pics don't really do the color justice, it is quite beautiful. Maybe I will have to take some better pics. Also, the tires seem to have trouble gripping the...

Need bolts for 70-72 Dart fan shroud

I have three from a 73 Dart and the fourth is about an 1/8" longer and a different hex head size, but the threads look the same. If these are what you are looking for, PM me your address and I will send them.

    67 a body antanae

Bad news then, the one that came off of my 67 Barracuda wasn't extendable. I have no idea if it was the original one or not.

    67 a body antanae

I found all the antenna pieces from my 73 Dart and my 67 Barracuda, except one of the masts. I will look for that tomorrow. Can't remember which is which. I will post pics of them tomorrow. One of the antenna cords was separated from the main body, but it looks like it would be easy to push...
