700 Hp on NA pump gas

So I am now starting to get back into the motor phase of the project and would like some discussion of the options for a NA 700 Hp small block build. With the advent of a 4.25" crank and say 6" rods and a 4.22" bore I think it is doable. now is the time to educate me.

    Vintage Air for the "Missile"

I drove down to San Antonio today to visit Vintage Air. I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on a GenII super but I wanted to put my eyes on a unit and some of the other parts that I think will make this work. One of which is the transition between the horizontal "shop-vac" vent and...

    LED vs Standard bulbs

I have been trying to incorporate new technology where ever possible in the build. To that end I ordered LED 1157s and 1156s. When they arrived I did a side by side comparison and the incandescent ones won out hands down. first pic is of the LED lamps the second is the side by side with the...

    Blue Missile playing the Blues

There are a few folks that have asked me to post some of the band's vids. The concept of a band here is not quite what exists. While a core group of players that may eventually become a band, is starting to emerge, this is about actually making music with all of the friends I have made here in...

RFP for the Engine Build for the Missile

OK guys I’ve pretty much sorted out my front suspension issues, so it’s time to spec and order the motor. What I have planned to this point was a 416 stroker with the following: INDUCTION -1000cfm/4x80lb MSD Atomic TBI -W2 dual-plane intake manifold with milled center...

    Electric or standard water pump?

I long ago decided to run an electric water pump, but the other day I took out the MP book on the small block and read that the standard water pump at cruising speed pumps 70GPM. The high flow electrics brag about moving 35GPM, what am I missing here? At Idle the elecrtic has a slightly better...

    HEY Bite Me.....

you fill in the caption here, the din of captions in my mind is huge. Andrew OH.. should this go in the technical section under suspension and steering?

    How many degrees of steering?

How many degrees of play left or right off of straight ahead does our front suspension travel. OR how many degrees of rotation at the ball joints. I need this to calculate rack and pinion ratios. This is not how many times the steering wheel turns. Andrew

    Brakes for the Missile-need advice

I have ordered a tubular front end from Denny which uses Mustang II spindles. The question here is whether I need 12" discs or will 11" do. The 11" solution is easy and relatively inexpensive, the 12" route is more complicated. I can only find 12" "Drag" brakes from wilwood, but they are .81"...

    Making a headliner

I thought I would update yall, before I start on the cage, it occurred to me that fabbing the head liner would be easier without the cage in the way. Startr of the missiles center console

OK, heres the rough in of the console. You have the shifter, then the PIN pad and the avionics switch module. As much as it is a cruiser, a spot for two cup holders. Then on the angled face you have a two way radio, above that a 2DIN spot for the AM/FM CD player, and to the left of that the...

Here are the pics of the modified cross member. I got most of the design from Tincup. The 'H' member under the tranny, replaces the piece that bridges over the tranny for stiffness. Its made out of two pieces of 3"x3/8" barstock, one of which is the mounting surface for the 545RFE. Andrew
