Evidently their`s 2 types, I`ve taken one out with a small pin punch, 2 pcs. This one seems to have a larger pin but does`nt budge, I`d figure I`d inquire before I damage something. If I have to dissemble the rear, I would as soon cut the axle down instead. Am I missing something? Installing...

Been chasing an oil leak and come to the conclusion that it is the rear main on my new/rebuilt 440. I had the machinist build the bottom end, well he hosed me . The engine is back out on the stand, he didn't use any side strips and only got sealant down 1/3 on the sides. the seals themselves...

I have the hughes roller rockers, and they`re ticking a little nothing horrendous. Is it normal to get a little tick out of rollers? With .080 preload it would seem they would be pretty quiet? I have their rockers on my 340 also, same deal. What`s your guys experience?

Putting out 14.90@ idle to 15.20 @ higher revs, normal or too much? Seems 13.5 to 14 would be more acceptable. I should add that this is a big ol Diehard that has been sitting in my shop, on a trickle/float charger for 5 years awaiting the glorious day to start the 440 again.:)

I bought the lowest rate TF heads, =390 lbs My cam card suggest 333 lb rate, do I need to buy new springs or will the TF supplied springs not do damage?

Hughes billet hold down studs in TF aluminum heads torque spec. ? nuts call for 30 ft-lbs, but what about the studs? I`d hate to strip out the threads. What should be used on the stud threads in the head. never seize loc tight dry oil ?? thanks
