Question for Shipping a Car from Canada

I’m thinking of buying a car that’s in Quebec Canada. Does anyone have experience with having one shipped, or transporting one across yourself? At this point, that’s one of the main deciding factors on whether or not I get the car. I’ve shipped parts there & had parts shipped from there a few...

    Torque Converter ID

Is there a difference between the keyway on a 904 vs 999 torque converter? Reason I ask is because the purple torque converter that I’ve had laying around for years, thinking it was for a 904, will not fit in what I’m pretty sure is a 1985 999. Look at the difference in the slot sizes of the two...

    Mystery film on cam lobes

I just bought a rebuilt 340 long block & noticed the cam lobes are covered with a waxy substance. It’s dry & kind of waxy feeling. It has been sitting for a while since the rebuild, so I’m thinking maybe it’s some kind of cam assembly lube that dried out or something. Is this a coating that’s...

    Trunk bulkhead thickness?

I put a fuel cell in my trunk, and remember seeing in the rules that you need a wall between the trunk and passenger compartment if the cell is in the trunk. I can't find my book to look it up, but I was thinking it needed to be 1/8" thick, so I bought a sheet of 1/8" aluminum, but it looks like...

    Toy hauler for cars?

I'm looking for a toy hauler that can haul my Duster. It looks like the Weekend Warrior FSC 3200 can haul it, but I want to hear from someone who's actually used a toy hauler for cars. I've considered a car hauler with living quarters, but I may be living in it during the week for the next...

*Need help on how to wire up a switch panel*

I'm trying to wire up a switch panel in my Duster with a master switch and start switch (along with fuel pump, water pump, and fan switches), but I'm running into a problem. I've got them wired and the start switch works to turn over the motor, but I'm not getting anything to the ignition...

[SOLD] SBP Cragar S/S 13" wheels with Cooper Cobra Tires

Like the title says, I have a set of 4 13" SBP Cragar wheels (the ones on the car in my avatar). They have Cooper Cobra tires on them. There is very minor surface flaking that's only visible at about 3 ft. I found these several years ago. They were found in an old warehouse out east new in...

    What size electric fan?

I'm putting an electric waterpump drive on my Duster. Right now, I'm running one of the wide blade flex fans on it, and the temp is OK. What size electric fan (in CFM) would I need to get the same flow? The car sees very little street use, mostly just track, and mostly 1/8 mile.

0-90 ohm sending unit OR 73-10 ohm Gauge

I bought a package deal on a set of Autometer Ultra Lite gauges, and it came with the 0-90 ohm (GM) gauge. Ideally, I'd like to trade the gauge for the correct one, but will also buy the correct gauge or a 0-90 sending unit (Somebody used to sell them on here, but I haven't seen them in a...

    Changed gauges, now no power

I made a custom cluster of Autometer Gauges for my duster, and now there's no power to anything. The volt meter is hooked up, so it's not that. I really haven't looked too deep into it, been busy and lazy. Any ideas?

    Garmin eTrex GPS question

I have a Garmin eTrex Venture that I have mainly for when I'm riding my waverunner off-shore. The problem is, I can't figure out how to use the damn thing. All I really need to know is how to put in a destination. I know the coordinates, just can't figure out how to put them in, even after...

    Binding in Manual Steering Box?

I Just got a manual steering box for my Duster. There doesn't seem to be any slop, but as I turn it stop to stop, it seems to have some binding or stiffness in the middle of the turning range. Since this would be about where it would be with the wheels pointing straight. I'm not sure if it's...

    Any weed-eater guru's out there?

I have a Poulon Pro 036 weed whacker that I bought about 7 years ago. I used it about 4 times then put it in the shed. I was dumb and didn't drain the gas or add sta-bil. When I took it out this weekend, the gas lines were rotten, so I replaced them and flushed the tank. I checked the plug...

    Fuel pressure fluctuation

My fuel pressure keeps changing. I set it to 6 psi, then after it runs for a while the pressure drops to about 4. When I adjust it back up 6, it stays until I shut it down and let it cool down. When I start it cold, the pressure is up to about 9. I keep messing with it, but the pressure...

    Christmas Party/Car Show Pics

We had a Squadron Christmas party today. I put together a small car show to go along with it. I had my junk there, there was a '73 Challenger, and a newer Charger for Mopar showing. All the rest were mostly Chevies with a couple Fords. Surprisingly, only on Rustang.

    Heat Cycling Tires

I've seen Heat Cycling offered by a couple tire places for drag radials. What is this, what does it do, and is there a way to DIY? Sounds to me like driving around a while long enough to get them heated up, maybe a burn-out, and let them cool down completely.

    Nitto NT555R Drag Radials

Does anyone have any experience with these? I'm looking for a good pair of drag radials, and it's between the Nitto's, BFG, or M/T. The Nitto's are a lot less expensive than the others, and from the reviews I've seen on them, they seem to be good.
