    '73 Dart Swinger! 2-Door, V-8/Auto

http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/cto/1275277080.html It's mine. I hate selling it, but I've been unemployed for about 6 months now and I just cannot justify keeping it in the garage. I've not had the money to work on it in a while anyway. This is a VERY solid car, and would be a great...

Great job Red! I've got the RoundUp in my calender - hopefully I'll be able to make it! Work has slowed, but I do have some more pictures to post. Sort of have run out of money I feel I can spend on this right now. ;-/

Thanks Leanna. If the picture on your website is you - and I suspect it is - your defiantly NOT a guy, and not all that small where it counts! :snakeman: I've worked for international corporations and Mom 'd Pop company's; I know which one I prefer! Since being laid off (again) I've found that...

    My 74 Dart Swinger

I just put 245/60-15's on the rear of my '73 swinger on MoPar spec rally's (4 1/4" BS) with no issues. I suspect you may have a little rubbing on the wheel well, but you might be OK with just a little lip roll or trim. Be sure to post pics of them on the car! :worthles: :-D

Post your wheel and tire combos.

Rally Wheels on my Swingin' '73

OK, I promised I'd post the wheels when I got them done. Here they are, all mounted up. The color is 20% gloss black, and I'm using '71 dark rally caps with the brushed centers removed. Lug nuts are new Doorman replacement 'open' style. I still have a couple minor things I'm going to do...

Today was a very good day! Have I ever mentioned that I hate Washington DOL? In Washington you can either go to a government office to get license plates, or an agency. The Gov't office saves the agency fee of $10, but you have to deal with gov't workers. Let's just say the trip yesterday did...

No Bill, I'm not young. Well, maybe compared to some here, but I have a 21 year old son! CudaChick - In hindsight, I should have taken the wheels to my buddy Bob. But, Bob does mostly commercial stuff (government and industry) and I like to help local "little" guys when I can. That said, JR...

DONE! warning originalist dont look :-p...

Definitely interesting and different! I was just talking with a friend today about stripping the bumpers on my '73 Swinger and painting the bumpers. Now that I see your, I may just go that route. I'm not sure I like your grill, but I may also do something "different" with my grill. Viva la...

    new daily driver

Nice, I love the old land-yacht's. Their is a '68-ish Coronet 4 door down the street that I suspect doesn't run but looks solid that I check out every time I drive by. ONE project is all I can handle though! Love the color too. Nice cruiser.

That is a SWEET '75. I really like the white with black bumble-bee stripe. Here are the tires I picked up yesterday for $40. Don't you just love a smokin' deal? I think something is missing here..but it looks like the tires are going to fit the wheel wells a little better than the...

Some days your the windshield, some days your the Bug. Today, I was a bug. Ok, 3 hours of sleep didn't help. No reason for it, I just had insomnia last night. I took my wife to work so I could go pick up the wheels from the powder coater. When I grabbed them, I thought the powder looked really...

Right clicking on the image above and selecting "properties" gives a link to the picture. A little bit of quick detective work, and I came up with this URL: http://www.procarbyscat.com/Products_EliteLumbar.asp  Ken PS, I like velor, but I get a sweaty butt in the winter...

    I want to quit smoking

Nice Monte dirt tracker Mike! I used to race a '79 and had a '75 before that on pavement. I started smoking when I was 13 and smoked until I was almost 40. Quitting is easy; I did it hundreds of times. :angry7: Staying quit is hard. One time I quit for almost 2 years, but my ex still smoked...

Not a lot done this week. Monday I went to Specialty Wheels LTD and picked up my two 15"x7" Rally's and ran them over to the powder-coater. He called this morning (Friday) and my wheels are ready, but Mrs. Frogpirate has the Forrester and I don't want to make 2 trips on the motorcycle, so I'm...

    Just Got Layed Off

Sorry about the job loss ram. I got laid off back in January, and turned 49 in Feb. I've been applying all over the west, as I feel I really need to get back to work, and in the greater Portland Area, everyone in my field (Electrical Wholesale) has been laying off, not hiring. I had a shot at a...

    Portland Roadster Show

Entry is $15, but you can get a $1 off coupon at Baxter Auto Parts. I thought it was pretty worth it, the have the entire main floor at the convention center full, plus part of the wing rooms. I wish there had been more vendors, 'cause I love looking at catalogs and such after the show, but...

    Portland Roadster Show

Did anyone else go, or is anyone going tomorrow? I went over (Portland Convention Center) for a couple hours today. I tried to shoot a few pictures, but they did not come out all that well. There were at least a few cars that would be of interest to people on this list - a pair of fast-back...

    What was your first car?

Fun thread. I got my license in '76 at 16 and drove mostly OP cars for the next couple years. (That's Other People's). Dad had a '64 Polara, 383 Push-button trans 4 door no-post hard top that I drove a lot. And later, a 74 (?) Duster, slant six auto, and we had an International Travelall with...

    Swingin' '73 Dart

With Sam bringing me the 2 14" rally's and a member here offering me a 3rd, I had to make my wheel choice. I was thinking about cop rally's or plain steel wheels w/dog dish's, but I finally decided to go ahead and use the rally's. I am going to use the 14x5.5" on the front and 15" x 7" on the...
