I have this same exact problem, getting about 1/4 secondaries to open, I guess i need to read this thread a few more times and experiment with cable attach point and or shimmng/tweaking the pedal PIA!

the 440 carb jets were each a good 4 turns out from bottom, car ran well but again could not get secondaries to open past half way to full open. I have the 6138 on it now, sounds like it want lots of fuel I guess.

Can you run a Manual spec Thermoquad on an automatic car? All t-quads look very similar. Whats the difference and would it be ok to do this swap?

considering the throttle linkage, when should the secondary throttle blades start to open? At full throttle, or gradually when the primaries open? Mine dont open until the last part of the linkage pull? Is it ok to have them come in a little earlier? Whats optimum. Its a 340 with sinlge plane...

i've heard it both ways-that all 72 cranks are cast or that some early 72 cranks are forged, not sure how you can tell, I'm sure someone here can tell us!
