    i agree, you need a better fitting convertor, not to loose -so you can utilize the tork of that 422, but looser than current convertor. you still have lots of room for more power bigger cam-more duration/more lift, and have the eddys ported . then it will run in the 10s with a tune and traction...

    you didnt mention compression, what ratio rockers are using, i would have a custom designed cam for your application,probably not off the shelf, i would say something in the 248-258 @0.50 range.

    flat cam looking for a replacement

    i had a 67 cuda 340 ported x . 10.1 - 4.10s 4000 stall. comp solid, 231-4 244@0.50 in 252@0.50 ex 520 lift in 540 lift ex. easy on parts, adjusted lash twice a year. sounded good, pulled to 6800 .

    i have the same cam in my stroker i think, ultradyne solid, 263/267@0.50 631/657 with a 1.6 rocker , i have 11.8 compression, ported eddy heads, flows 277@.600, tunnelram,2-660s carbs, 4.10 with 28 tall tire. i havent had it to the track yet, the ring gear on the convertor went out to lunch...

    for fuel im running a home brew , i did some research, google home brew octane booster, so 4 gals 93 octane 1 gal e-85, 1 gal of xylene 114 octane avereage it out it comes to 98.5 octane , cut to 3 gals of 93 it raises it about a point. i get xylene at work for 9.00,4 gals of 93 is 11.20, 1 gal...

    i would leave the gear, im wondering about your timming curve, and is that a 4500 series 1050? your car should run in the 120 mph range from watching my buds 416, 4.30 geared 28 in tall 3000 lb cuda, it runs 10.8os 120-123 mph. thats with a 750 witch i dont think is big enough.

    What RPM going through the traps with a 408?

    i would try retarding the timming back to 32-34.put a white stripe on 1 tire and have someone watch the stripe on take off to see if you have a lot or a little tire spin. my 2 cents
