Probably someone was too cheap to buy new pushrods to use those rockers with hydraulic lifters, which are taller than solids. Spacing up the shafts gave enough clearance to run hydro's with the solid lifter pushrods. Seen this before...actually works, but not correct.

Anyone have 1 or 2 Crane adjustable rocker screws that fit stock cast-iron Mopar rockers? …believe it or not, one snapped on me! Heard a tick under the hood, pulled a valve cover, found the loose screw, attenpted to tighten it, and the screw snapped off in the wrench!

Looks like all 273 2bbl throttle linkage modded for 4 bbl.

Lucky for me, when I changed from 2bbl to correct 4bbl intake and carb on my ‘67 273, I found the correct throttle cable bracket, and that allowed me to use the 2bbl throttle cable. I guess for '67 they are the same?

My friend's not interested in buying new pistons as we've already assembled the short block using stock replacement ones. He wants the nice lope without having to run higher comp. pistons (and the higher octane...read; more expensive...gas). I don't know that much about Hughes cams which is why...

The 312 shroud may be scarce, but the reproduction one from The Mopar Shop that says 68-69 A body applications fits the 67 rad perfectly.

Anyone in Canada running a Whiplash cam? Where’d you buy it? Their Canadian dealer list is woefully out of date. They wont sell one to Canada unless you have a credit card from a US bank, which, from Canada, I cant get. Also, have a few more questions to ask a Whiplash cam owner.

OK, things have changed. My friend added a zero to the deck height...should be .15, not .015! That kinda changes things a bit. Now the chart says 7.64 compression...OOPS! Now he's thinking of different pistons, or running the low comp and a Whiplash cam? Which would be best?
