Looks like a great start!

I have Year One piece in my current gasket. I’m looking for a new gasket that accepts this lockstrip. The original one was all cracked and split… thats why I bought the YO one. I guess if I can’t find a new gasket, I’ll try and save the old one when the new windshield goes in.

Hmmm… mine looks like this…it’s Mylar(plastic) and fits directly into the rubber

I checked there. The lockstrip they include is not the correct stuff, so I assume the gasket is not correct as well. Have you used it yourself?

Who makes the best fitting windshield gasket for ‘67 Dart convertible? Needs to fit original Mylar lockstrip, not the generic stuff. Members with 1st hand experience preferred.

When you get the chance, repaint the engine bay body color....Black is not correct for Mopars.

They have them back in stock? Thats great. Bought mine 4 or 5 years ago, then they went out-of-stock.

1966 was the year the "Auto Pact" agreement between the US and Canada auto makers came in, and Canadian VIN's became the same as US VIN's, so an "L" in your VIN is correct, even though it's a Valiant. You can use the US VIN decoding system to decode your car.

Body doesn't look bad...decent tailpanel and trim...no pics of the engine or VIN, so maybe just the 273 FOUR BARREL emblem is the performance....not a bad price either.

Yes, different years and body styles used different designs of these, but all perform the same function. These are the A-body versions...

The side trim is aluminum, anodized.....the windshield trim is stainless.

The aluminum part not solid, and are polished...the turn signal housings are pot metal, and chromed.

One of those white window install sticks works great along with some dish soap. Yes, they have become more readily available since I bought mine from YearOne (the only supplier at the time).

I have the plastic window in my vert, and I just lower it about 2/3rds of the way, then make sure there's no creases in the window, and lower it the rest of the way and install the tonneau cover.. Has worked for me for 14-odd years (top is older than that!)

Dave...what you found was probably the seat ID tags. Broadcast sheets were the old "tractor-feed" printer paper, thin, almost newsprint-like paper

Steve....I think you're referring to the outside lower lockstrip. I believe he's looking for the inside piece tha'ts at the bottom of the windshield on early 'vert models

The JC Whitney stuff is NOT correct...and won't work. It's not the crap you buy off a roll. It's rigid plastic w/chrome mylar attached. The proper stuff is in the pic I posted up there^^^
