Looks great! Tinted windows go well with your paint and stripe. I used to Tint (Back in the day!). Like a post above said, dirt collects at the sweeps, but other than that, I didn't find it particularly difficult. I just cut the tint long enough to reach an inch or so below the sweeps.

Yes, that works on wood sometimes also. I've also steamed out small dents in wood doing that - too bad it doesn't work that way for metal. :BangHead:

I never tried it on vehicle paint, but I've done this a lot on wood finish. The white ring left from drinking glasses, or something hot on your table, is moisture that got into the finish. Pour on a good bit of cutting board oil and very lightly rub it in circles with super fine 0000 steel...

When I ordered a heater/ac box kit several years ago, Jim emailed to tell me it would ship once they got all the pieces. When I replied "thanks " to his email he asked about my car. We had a great email conversation. You don't see that kind of customer service much anymore.

Ok, when I checked play at the latch this morning, I had around 3/16" of play. But there was no adjustment left in the latch. I pulled the latch and extended the adjustment slots. Now it takes a bit of pressure to get it to latch and has Zero play. The stiffening plate is solid. Thanks for...

Thanks @ZooKypr . The back of the hood is good and tight. Just both sides of the front start bouncing up and down starting at about 70 mph. I'm going to have a good look at the latch area and adjust it down to get rid all the play.

I'll let you know. I definitely want to reduce the amount of it.

Thanks all. Sounds like the fix is going to be the latch. I'll get out there today and check out the latch and stiffening plate, and adjust the latch down.

I hadn't thought about it before, but looking at the way it lays, I'm going to check out the seal also.

Sucks getting old and forgetting stuff, lol. Yes, only one block per side. I'll research to see if that's correct, but there's only one slot for them.

I appreciate the suggestions! All splash guards are in place. I do see on the hood to radiator seal there is a gap towards each side. All clips are in and I remember buying the seal for a 66. I may see how I can secure it down tight in those areas. Gerald, the 66 has those side bumpers but...

I have those. I tried raising them but it raises the hood above the fenders. I'll try it again and take a drive to see if it helps.

I think it's the entire hood but only on the sides near the fenders. The hood feels solid.
