I have a 73 340 drivers side and a magnum passenger side. No adapter and use the larger size oil filter. It worked out well.

Getting my exhaust welded up and gladly paid the Vietnam vet a hundred bucks to weld my down pipes to the H-pipe. Especially, after seeing his signage out front. Small town shop with just him and his son trying to run a small business. Well worth the hour labor.
