I think it is just rattle can primer, probably from when I was just temporarily covering up bare spots.

I guess I am not as good of a tape off man anymore, I have some primer over spray on the vinyl seats and dash pad of my 68. These are new seat covers and I do not want to hurt them. What have you guys used in the past to remove the over spray without damaging anything? Thanks Bob

The clips in my picture are factory clips from 1968 along with the rubber washers, the replacement clips that you get now of days are the wire ones. It should not make any difference, the rubber washers will still stretch over the wire and stay in place. You really don't have to use the rubber...

They go over the clip after you install them on the new door panels. They act as a cushion and an anti rattle insulator. here is a picture of one of my old door panels with them installed.

Mine has all that bull **** but when I replace the headliner I don't think I will be putting the shoulder belts back. The passenger side shoulder belt is mostly there but the drivers side is missing some parts. Well see that's still a long way a ways. Take care good luck with your build. Bob

I have bought Trim Parts carpet out of Lebanon Ohio, there product was very good and I was very happy with it.

I would think you could fit it in there, you will need to get and mount the brackets to hold it down and you will need a 66 floor shifter and linkage but I can't see why you couldn't install one. Here are some pictures of mine from when I did my build, hope this helps. Bob
